Et Tu, Fox News?

One lesson of the year 2020 is that every major television news outlet other than Fox News exists not to inform but to disinform or leave uninformed on behalf of authoritarian leftism. Refusing to report on explosive revelations regarding Joe Biden’s corruption confirmed that the alphabet networks are propaganda organs of the Democrat Party.

Utopia will not be achieved so long as there is diversity of opinion on television, so Fox News must be destroyed. There are several possible ways to accomplish this objective:

1. Scare off advertisers
2. Have Jeff Bezos buy it
3. Refuse to renew its broadcast license
4. Ban it for being “racist”
5. Turn fans against it
6. Subvert it from within

Number 6 is incremental Marxists’ favorite strategy. It has allowed them to take over the schools, the courts, the entertainment industry, corporate boardrooms, sports, and virtually all of the news media. The process appears to be underway at Fox News, where they have adopted Twitter’s habit of censoring the White House:

Fox News host Neil Cavuto interrupted the network’s live feed of a Trump campaign speech from White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Monday, telling viewers he could not “in good countenance continue showing” it due to her allegations of voter fraud in the contested election between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

McEnany was on a role when Cavuto silenced her on behalf of the corrupt liberal establishment.

“You don’t oppose an audit of the vote because you want an accurate count. You don’t oppose our efforts at sunlight and transparency because you have nothing to hide. You take these positions because you are welcoming fraud, and you are welcoming illegal voting.”

McEnany added, “We want every legal vote to be counted, and we want every illegal vote to be discarded.”

That last was too much. Cavuto pulled the plug.

Cavuto isn’t alone. Anchor Sandra Smith was caught on a hot mic expressing dismay that anyone would object to the media calling elections that are not over yet:

Readers will recall that Fox News called Arizona for Biden before even AP. A full week later, we still don’t know who won Arizona.

As infuriating at FNC can be, we don’t want to assist the opposition in Strategy #5, turning Fox’s fans against it. At least it provides a platform for excellent programs like Tucker Carlson’s show. But if it isn’t held accountable, it is likely to let itself be absorbed by the liberal Borg.

Update:

Looks like Mark Dice beat me to the title above. Here’s his take on the topic:
