It isn’t just CNN. Even late night comedy shows may rediscover a sense of humor, confronted by the ongoing pratfall that is the Democratic Party.

Late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, Seth Meyers and more mocked Sen. Chuck Schumer in the last week or so after the Democratic senator made several attempts to speak out against President Donald Trump’s policies. …

Nobody could take this seriously:

Schumer stood alongside Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., and several other Democrats on Tuesday at a “Nobody Elected Elon” rally. Schumer, while holding Waters’ hand, chanted “we will win, we will win, we will win,” before pausing and saying, “we won’t rest, we won’t rest!”

Given that their party was just trounced by Trump in the election, the scene was cringe-inducing but too humorous for even the unfunniest late night apparatchiks to miss the humor.
