The erasure of our history continues. The leftists in control are replacing it with a new history more to their liking. Fort Hood is known to many as the site of the 2009 massacre by Nidal Hasan, who was allowed to fester until he finally killed 13 and wounded 29 because it would have been Islamophobic to notice the red flags he had been waving. In the future, it will be known as Fort Cavazos — because John Bell Hood, being Texan, fought for the South:

The new name will honor Gen. Richard Cavazos, who is noted for his leadership during the Korean War, when he earned the Silver Star and Distinguished Service Cross for leading the Puerto Rican regiment “The Borinqueers.”

Not to be confused with the Boring Queers, as the CNN prime time lineup has been called.

Hood lost an arm at Gettysburg and a leg at the Battle of Chickamauga. But his bravery pales in comparison to Cavazos’s status as a Mexican American.

Following the Fort Hood Massacre, Army Chief of Staff George Casey lamented, “As horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.” The renaming should help set his mind at ease.

The canceling of Confederates has been systematic:

The Commission on the Naming of Items of the Department of Defense that Commemorate the Confederate States of America or Any Person Who Served Voluntarily with the Confederate States of America, more commonly referred to as The Naming Commission, was a United States government commission created by the United States Congress in 2021 in order to rename military assets with names associated with the Confederate States of America. The Naming Commission was mandated by Section 370 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (NDAA), enacted on January 1, 2021.

The law requires the erasure of anyone who served voluntarily for the Confederacy from all assets of the Department of Defense within 3 years.

The grace that allowed healing after the Civil War has given way to cultural genocide. In the Cold Civil War, the leftist objective is absolute extirpation.

The legislation was influenced by the George Floyd protests in the summer of 2020 and resulting removal of Confederate monuments, which drew attention to the U.S. Army installations still named for Confederate soldiers.

That is, the Pentagon under moonbat rule is picking up where the sociopathic mobs that tore down statues commemorating American history left off, in honor of a low-life criminal who died of a fentanyl overdose while resisting arrest.

This commission to erase Southerners in the name of George Floyd is chaired by Michelle Howard, the first black woman to be put in command of a US Navy ship. Let’s hope she had some qualification other than her historicness.

As they erase our history, they erase our culture. They erase us.
