A 25-year-old Sudanese national has been arrested, accused of launching a sudden and violent attack on a couple relaxing on a park bench in Vienna’s Märzpark on Wednesday evening.

The unnamed colonist came up and stood in front of them. They asked what he wanted, but he preferred not to say.

Instead, the man allegedly struck the 35-year-old [man] without warning, triggering a physical altercation. During the struggle, the suspect is said to have pulled a pair of scissors from his waistband and used them to stab the victim multiple times. …

The suspect then reportedly removed his clothing shortly before officers arrived and attempted to flee the area completely naked.

But apparently he held onto the scissors until police took them away from him.

A 22-year-old Pakistani national has been handed the maximum life sentence by the Vienna Regional Court after targeting a random victim, beating him to death, and filming the fatal blows. However, the Pakistani will not serve his sentence in a prison. Instead, because the man was diagnosed as a “sadist,” the judge ordered the man to spend his time in a “forensic therapeutic center,” which features better living conditions than a high-security prison, including sports activities, educational opportunities, and better housing accommodations.

At least they are not setting him loose on the public, like France did with Kobili Traoré.
