Human Reproduction as Environmental Vandalism

If you doubt that the ideology of the liberal establishment is antihuman, read the recent piece at Vogue titled “Is Having a Baby in 2021 Pure Environmental Vandalism?

Lowlights include:

For the scientifically-engaged person, there are few questions more troubling when looking at the current climate emergency than that of having a baby.

Those clinging with zealous faith to the science-corrupting global warming hoax love to praise themselves for being scientifically engaged. However, the “current climate emergency” exists only in their fever dreams.

Before I got pregnant, I worried feverishly about the strain on the earth’s resources that another Western child would add.

Leftists hate humans, but specifically, they hate Caucasians. The environment fares vastly better in the USA and Europe than it does in Third World countries. But that doesn’t penetrate the bubble of self-loathing dogma encapsulating the supposedly scientifically engaged.

The food he ate, the nappies he wore, the electricity he would use; before he’d even started sitting up, my child would have already contributed far more to climate change than his counterpart in, say, Kerala or South Sudan.

Yet the author didn’t move to Sudan so as to have her baby there and save the planet.

Note that progressives believe electricity to be inherently harmful. They won’t mind as leftist policies drive the price of it upward, although the economy will.

I also worried about the sort of world that I would bring my child into – where we have perhaps just another 60 harvests left before our overworked soil gives out and we are running out of fresh water.

Mark your calendars. Sixty years and we all die. Liberalism is a doomsday cult, similar to Heaven’s Gate except less plausible and more injurious.

Here’s why we don’t want more Americans or Europeans:

[P]eople living regular lives in economically developed countries like me are having a disproportionately high impact on the world. The way our food is farmed, the amount we buy, the way we dispose of our waste – all are far worse for the planet than those living in less consumerist and less economically developed societies.

They vote for leftist parties that confiscate an ever-growing percentage of the wealth we create, while telling us that poverty is good for the planet. Responding with a single finger is appropriate.

On a tip from Mr. Freemarket. Hat tip: Not the Bee.
