It isn’t only adolescent girls who worship Taylor Swift. She has a disturbing appeal to aging left-wing apparatchiks. Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland had a shrine to Taylor Swift in his office. Former FBI director James Comey turns out to be a Swiftie too.

In a video on Substack, Comey proclaims:

“I want to talk about a truly inspirational public figure named Taylor Swift. …

“Taylor Swift and I go way back. I went to my first concert of hers 15 years ago. I’ve been to a second, and I have helped financially support the attendance of a lot of family members at others. I’m in a family Swiftie group chat. I know all her music, and I listen to it on my headphones when I cut the grass.”

Taylor’s pop songs, which Comey calls “great art,” help him deal with meanies who resist moonbattery:

“At my second Taylor Swift concert, in Hartford, Connecticut, 14 years ago this summer, she sang a song about this topic, asking, ‘Why you gotta be so mean?’ And she spoke directly to the nasty people. ‘I bet you got pushed around. Somebody made you cold. But the cycle ends right now, because you can’t lead me down that road.’”

Thanks to Taylor Swift, the sanctimonious Comey would never be mean — unless you count writing out threats against the president in seashells and posting them online.

Comey ends his eulogy to Taylor Swift by telling viewers to “keep the faith.” He isn’t the only one nutty enough to regard Swift as sacred. At least it is harmless compared to worshiping the global warming hoax. Too bad he mixes his Swiftism with Trump derangement syndrome.

No matter what you think of James Comey, you will like him even less after watching the video:

Good thing Taylor Swift must have bodyguards to keep creeps at bay.
