Liberals Lie by Quoting Out of Context

Lest you were tempted to take anything the increasingly desperate liberal media shrieks at face value, we are told that Trump called for Liz Cheney to be killed — because he accused the warmonger of being a chickenhawk.

Via Fox News:

Drudge Report’s front-page headline on Friday morning declared in red font with all caps, “TRUMP CALLS FOR CHENEY’S EXECUTION,” and linked to a social media post from far-left commentator Aaron Rupar that showed a partial clip from the former president’s Glendale, Arizona, event on Thursday.

Trump said this about Liz Cheney:

“Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let’s see how she feels about it. You know, when the guns are trained on her face.”

Even with this quote taken out of context, the words “with a rifle” make it clear that Trump was calling her a chickenhawk, not calling for her to be executed.

The rest of the liberal media deserves no more respect than the Drudge Report. Consider CNN:

“Four days out from Election Day and former President Trump is escalating his violent rhetoric, suggesting one of his most prominent critics, the former congresswoman Liz Cheney, should be fired upon,” [moonbat propagandist Kasie] Hunt told CNN viewers.

Roto-Reuters is no better:

Reuters wrote that “Trump suggested Liz Cheney should face firing squad for her foreign policy stance.”

MSM propagandists have helped inspire two assassination attempts against Trump with their overblow rhetoric. They follow this up by accusing Trump of calling for violence.

Their standard-bearer provides another example of leftists lying by quoting out of context:

“Now in America, one in three women lives in a state with a Trump abortion ban, many with no exceptions, even for rape and incest, which is immoral. And Donald Trump’s not done. Did everyone hear what he just said yesterday? That he will do what he wants, quote, and here‘s where I‘m going to quote ‘whether the women like it or not,’” [Comrade Kamala] Harris said.

In reality, Trump takes a middle of the road position on abortion. The “whether the women like it or not” quote was taken wildly out of context:

“Kamala has imported criminal migrants from prisons and jails, from insane asylums and mental institutions all over the world from Venezuela to the Congo, including savage criminals who assault, rape, and murder our women and girls. Anyone who would let monsters kidnap and kill our children does not belong anywhere near the Oval Office,” Trump said at a rally.

Trump added, “I’m gonna do it whether the women like it or not. I’m gonna protect them.”

Cackala’s quotation out of context wasn’t a one-off:

Harris made the same inaccurate interpretation of Trump’s statements in a post on X.

The next step after quoting out of context to deliberately create a misleading impression is for Democrats to invent quotes out of whole cloth — a distinction without a difference. AI will allow the media to provide deep fake video.
