Katie Hobbs, Kris Mayes, and Ruben Gallego give him stiff competition, but Mark Kelly may be the most disgraceful politician in Arizona. After pulling a foolish publicity stunt to attack our right to bears arms (which backfired), he went on to draw the ire of the Department of War for committing sedition. His response to Trump’s excellent State of the Union address did not raise Kelly’s stature.
The Western Journal recalls this highlight of Trump’s SOTU address:
“I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration [in] reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support: The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.”
Watch Kelly sulk instead of stand:

He denounced Trump afterward, claiming that the President tried “to further divide us as a nation” by suggesting that as a nation we should defend ourselves from foreign invasion. “It was angry,” fumed the enraged moonbat, who then sniffed, “It wasn’t what I expect of a president.”
Kelly also refused to stand for the grieving mother of Iryna Zarutska, the Ukrainian refugee killed by his fellow liberals by whipping up antiwhite race hate and allowing maniacs to roam loose.
Somehow, Arizona, a place Trump carried in 2024 by the widest margin of any swing state, has some of the most woke, out-of-touch senators in the country.
Despite the influx of refugees from the ruin liberals have been making of Chicago and California, it can be hoped that this shameful situation will be corrected in future elections.
