NBC News Stealth Edits on Brittney Griner Debacle
Insider is not the only leftist propaganda outlet to put the spin in high gear in the wake of the appalling Brittney Griner trade.
The Biden Regime essentially admits that Griner was freed rather than US Marine Paul Whelan because she is a favored Lesbian of Color. The message was delivered by someone else who owes her good fortune to checking the same identity boxes:

However, the Regime does not want us to think of it as a straightforward choice. So NBC News had to do some retroactive editing:
“The Kremlin gave the White House the choice of either Griner or Whelan — or none,” said an NBC News report on Thursday morning. That’s not what the White House, Biden, Karine Jean-Pierre, or CNN said. They said Whelan, the United States Marine who actually like America, was never an option. Only the woke WNBA player was made an option, they claimed.
A short time later NBC News went and stealth edited their article to agree with that, changing the line to say, “the Kremlin ultimately gave the White House the choice of either Griner or no one after different options were proposed.”
Griner or no one? Putin would not have given up Marc Fogel — who is less deserving of incarceration, has been incarcerated longer, and is in more dire straits than Griner was — for a high-profile weapons supplier like the Merchant of Death? Doubtful.
Only after getting caught with their hand in the cookie jar did NBC News confess to rewriting history, claiming that the original story was in error. Which if either of their stories to believe is up to the public.
