Democrats outdid themselves when they poked a stick through the spokes of democracy by running off to Illinois to prevent a quorum on a redistricting vote — despite Illinois being among the most conspicuously gerrymandered states in the country. Not even NBC News could fail to notice the hypocrisy.
The state’s plutocrat governor, Jabba B. Pritzker, counters that calling attention to Democrat gerrymandering is a “distraction,” whereas when Republicans redistrict, “democracy is at stake”:
NBC: Every group that grades the fairness of congressional maps gives Illinois an F and says it's a "perfect model of everything that can go wrong with redistricting." Aren't you a big hypocrite?

Only by maintaining a state of delusion do Democrats manage to take themselves seriously.
