Schumer Kills School Safety Bill and Advances Gun Grab

The reason we have not taken effective measures to prevent school shootings is that Democrats want these horrific incidents to occur, because they can be exploited to attack gun rights. You think that sounds cynical? Then consider that in the aftermath of the Uvalde massacre, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer killed a school safety bill while advancing a gun grab:

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc., asked for the Luke and Alex School Safety Act to be passed by unanimous consent.

But Schumer blocked it, because it involved establishing best safety practices, rather than rendering law-abiding citizens defenseless by disarming them.

“The truth: There were officers at the school in Texas,” Schumer tweeted. “The shooter got past them. We need real solutions—We will vote on gun legislation starting with the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act.”

That there were police at Robb Elementary School who apparently refused to take prompt action to defend the students, as also happened at Parkland, confirms that we cannot leave our safety in the hands of the authorities. We must be able to defend ourselves — against both maniacs like Salvador Ramos and tyrants like Chuck Schumer.

The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act is designed to keep us safe from — you guessed it — white supremacists. This term can be applied to anyone Democrats don’t like, including “the Black face of white supremacy,”* as the Los Angeles Times calls Larry Elder.
