Students on Why Trump Should Not Get Nobel Peace Prize
Every president tries mightily to advance peace in the Middle East because of the prestige it would impart. For decades, each of them has failed — until now. Trump brokered a peace agreement between Israel, United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. More Arab countries could follow. Serbia and Kosovo have been at each other’s throats since the 1990s. Trump brokered a peace deal between them as well.
If Obama deserved to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize soon after taking office, despite not having accomplished anything other than getting elected, shouldn’t Trump get one too?
Campus Reform asks students and gets the predictable answer:
True enough, Trump does not deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. Competition for the prize is a popularity contest staged by the liberal elite, and Trump is not popular among liberals.
This exchange sums it up:
Q: Do you think he deserved it?
A: No.
Q: Do you know why he was nominated?
A: I don’t know.
It doesn’t matter why Trump was nominated. They don’t like him because it is politically correct not to like him. Therefore, he does not deserve a Nobel Peace Prize.
Students have to be careful to keep their minds closed, lest unauthorized thoughts infiltrate their heads. These renegade thoughts might then leak from their mouths, resulting in cancelation.
