Study of Monkeypox in Women Consists Largely of Men

You can have either moonbattery or science. Because they will inevitably conflict, you cannot have both. The liberal establishment has been opting for moonbattery:

A study on monkeypox in women was published in The Lancet recently in which almost half of the cohort being studied were males who identify as women.

Monkeypox has high priority because it is spread almost exclusively by homosexual men, whose deviant practices are currently fashionable but exceedingly unhealthy.

The study included 136 subjects:

There were 62 “trans women,” 69 “cis” women, and 5 non-binary individuals who were grouped with the “cis” women to form a category of “people assigned female at birth.”

The study concluded that “clinical features of monkeypox in women and non-binary individuals were similar to those described in men.” This is not surprising, considering that half of the women were actually men.

Researchers probably conform to wokeness to keep government grants flowing. But subordinating biology to a bizarre ideology threatens to reduce the scientific establishment to a laughing stock. That won’t help funding in the long run.
