Part of the appeal of the New York Yankees is that the team of Roy White, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, et al. has long been associated with class. Despite the moonbattification of professional sports that has caused many fans to turn away in disgust, this tradition survives:

This strikes quite a contrast with the level of class shown by the New York Mets, which flew the Pride Progress flag in place of Old Glory during the national anthem.
