Hollywood Leftist Says We Can Afford High Gas Prices
With the Biden Administration’s boot on the neck of domestic oil production, sanctions on Russia are causing prices at the pump to shoot up at an even sharper rate than before:
The average price per gallon of unleaded gasoline jumped to $3.92 Saturday, according to AAA. A week ago, drivers paid about 36 cents less on average per gallon. One month ago, drivers paid about 49 cents less on average per gallon, and one year ago, they paid $1.17 less.
A day later, already the national average is over $4.
Now for the good news. Tinseltown leftist George Takei says we can afford it:
Americans: We can endure higher prices for food and gas if it means putting the screws to Putin. Consider it a patriotic donation in the fight for freedom over tyranny.

Takei, who used to play Sulu on Star Trek, is worth $14 million. He can afford the skyrocketing price of gasoline. If you can afford it too, congratulations.
As for Ukraine, the fight is for self-determination, not freedom. There won’t be much freedom under either Putin or Zelensky, who has closed down opposition news channels and imprisoned the head of the opposition political party.
Takei ought to try patriotism to his own country. He could send out tweets calling for defense of the border. If left unchecked, the ongoing invasion of the USA will have more deleterious long-term consequences than the invasion of Ukraine.
On a tip from Wiggins.
