The Hollywood establishment seemed impregnable. That’s why the liberals who run it are so smug and arrogant. But even the mightiest manage to bring themselves down. Tinseltown is doing it by relentlessly grinding moonbattery into our faces rather than entertaining us.

The most illustrative headline on the current state of the Culture War appeared last weekend in the web magazine Cosmic Book News: “Supergirl Box office Collapses 80 percent And Loses To A George Washington Movie.” … The Angel Studios release [Young Washington] opened at $20 million, which just happens to match its production budget. By comparison, the $170 million DC Universe picture [Supergirl] has grossed close to $65 million worldwide, and may fall well short of a hundred million.

Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film adaptation of the ancient Greek epic the Odyssey continues to draw negative attention online. Users noticed that the like–dislike ratio of its latest official trailer on YouTube is the second worst for any Hollywood movie, only behind the ill-fated Snow White by Disney released in 2025.

The farcical live action desecration that featured a Latina Snow White and six nondwarves lost as much as $200 million.

All the top-rated comments under the trailer are negative as well. Most of them make fun of the controversial casting of Kenyan Mexican actress Lupita Nyong’o in the role of Helen of Troy.

The outrageously inappropriate casting was deliberate. Western heritage going back thousands of years is to be politically corrected.

The production budget for The Odyssey was a staggering $250 million. That doesn’t count marketing. Looks like they are bracing for another financial disaster. Christopher Nolan has reportedly cancelled screenings so that only approved critics can see it in advance.

Presenting a pitch black Helen of Troy — whose face launched a thousand ships and whose white skin was explicitly noted by Homer — isn’t the only belligerently woke casting decision. Fox News has more:

Also causing controversy, is his decision to cast transgender actor Elliot Page as Sinus, a great warrior who fought alongside Odysseus during the Trojan War, as well as rapper Travis Scott as an unknown male character in the epic tale.

Ellen Page or “Elliot” as she now calls herself is a 90-lb. transman who resembles a Greek warrior as much as Lupita Nyong’o resembles a Greek beauty.

Here’s why Nolan shoehorned a rapper into the mess:

Nolan responded to the criticism surrounding his decision to cast Scott, telling Time magazine in May he cast him because he wanted to pay tribute to “the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap.”

Evidently the Odyssey, second only to the Bible in the canon of great works that define Western Civilization, is equivalent to the cretinous obscenities grunted by rap performers.

Outside the Hollyweird establishment, actors need not be paid $millions upon $millions. AI will potentially drive production costs down to nearly nothing. Extravagantly expensive hyperwoke rubbish excreted by the liberal establishment will not always have a corner on the market.

Every institution that is infiltrated, corrupted, and subverted by moonbattery is destroyed. There was no reason to think Hollywood would be an exception.
