Democrats have created a nascent police state by politicizing and weaponizing federal law enforcement. They aren’t trying to hide it. To intimidate the opposition, they are rubbing it in our faces. Why else would the Capitol Police arrest Ashli Babbitt’s mother on the anniversary of January 6?

The mother of Ashli Babbitt got arrested at a demonstration near the Capitol exactly two years after her daughter was fatally shot during the Capitol riot.

Video footage posted to Twitter showed Babbitt’s mother, Micki Witthoeft, being escorted by officers into a Capitol Police vehicle on Friday afternoon.

Capitol Police released a statement that said Witthoeft, 58, was arrested on a charge of blocking and obstructing roadways, as well as for allegedly violating a regulation to obey an order. …

Witthoeft was part of a group demonstrating near the Supreme Court in support of people arrested and charged in connection to the riot…

Ostensibly, she was arrested for jaywalking:

It was the Capitol Police that let the supposed “insurrectionists” into the Capitol. Despite liberal establishment lies to the contrary, Ashli Babbitt was the only person killed that day, other than pro-Trump protester Rosanne Boyland, who was accidentally trampled by the crowd.

Babbitt was shot in cold blood by a Capitol Hill police officer to whom she posed no threat. Michael Byrd went on TV to praise himself for the execution, for which he received not so much as a wrist slap.

Ashli Babbitt’s widower Aaron weighs in on Micki Witthoeft’s arrest:

“She’s been there every day living in that area – sitting outside the jail at night and protesting outside the Capitol,” he said.

“So I’m not going to say it’s a coincidence she was finally arrested on January 6, but that doesn’t really smell right.”

January 6 is a special day for left-wing authoritarians, confirming in their minds that all resistance to the Democratic Party is illegitimate and must be crushed by whatever means prove expedient.

Our tax dollars are used to spin this narrative, and not only through the January 6 Committee dog and pony show. Lisa Desjardins is a correspondent for the coercively financed propaganda organ PBS. She advanced her cause by posting this on progressives’ favorite anniversary:

The gullible might come away believing that there had been a bloody battle on the steps of the Capitol. The truth bears repeating: only two people were killed on January 6, both of them women who were Trump supporters.

Arresting the grieving mother of the unarmed woman they killed is not a good look for our federal overlords. Good thing for them they have the media on their side. Imagine the wall-to-wall coverage of Micki Witthoeft’s arrest if the political sides were reversed.
