A Tale of Two Camps

Big Government ruins everything it absorbs, even camping. The difference between public and private campgrounds in Massachusetts is emblematic:

Eventually, Big Government will absorb everything, and people forget what it was like when Americans were free and efficient.

People Vote With Their Feet for Red States Over Blue States

Electoral votes are distorted not only by fraud but by liberal media brainwashing. Our more meaningful votes are cast with our feet.

On the ballot are red states, with a platform of conservative, small government, free market policies, featuring low taxes, light regulation, tough on crime policing, and worker freedom; and blue states, with a liberal/left, big-government approach, featuring high taxes, heavy regulations, high minimum wages, and mandatory union membership.

As economist Stephen Moore observes, red states are prospering, whereas blue states are in meltdown. It is no surprise that people have been pouring out of blue states into red ones:

Tragically, many who follow the job opportunities into red states bring their blue state politics with them. If this continues, there will soon be nowhere left to run without leaving the country. The USA will fall into steep decline.

Berkeley Bans Unapproved Food in Checkout Lanes

Berkeley continues to blaze a path into the most picayune reaches of authoritarian moonbattery. The rest of the country will follow once Democrats have to political leverage to force us to. At least it is all for our own good. Berkeley has achieved the distinction of being the first city in the country to ban the sale of unapproved snack food in grocery store checkout lanes:

In its place, stores will be required to “sell more nutritious food and beverage options in their checkout areas.”

Let them eat alfalfa sprouts, or whatever it is trendy for liberal bureaucrats to believe is good for them.

Beginning in March 2021, cookies, candy, chips and cans of soda will no longer be displayed near cash registers.

It’s still a free country. Grocers will be allowed to stock sugar-free gum and milk near the checkout lane — until the City Council realizes that milk is racist.

The decree also affects drug stores like CVS and Walgreens.

Once again, the ChiCom virus is exploited as a pretext for government encroachment:

[Vice-Mayor Sophie] Hahn says the policy is necessary because the pandemic has proved that people with underlying conditions like diabetes are more susceptible to COVID-19.

Total safety is just a few million more regulations away.
