Elon Musk Has Already Won
It may never be known whether Elon Musk thought the liberal establishment would let him buy Twitter or if he has just been trolling it. Regardless, he has already done more to benefit Western Civilization than anyone since the days of Reagan, Thatcher, and John Paul II.
This is the Information Age; our rulers are the information gatekeepers. They are left-wing authoritarians who do not mean us well. Musk’s great service lies in making this so obvious that no one could fail to notice it.
Nice as it would be to see a conservative challenge the leftist monopoly on the information infrastructure, Musk coming forward as a neutral proponent of free speech is better still. This isn’t right versus left. It is freedom versus authoritarianism.
Even if the bad guys win by stopping him from buying Twitter, it will be a pyrrhic victory because now everyone knows they are the bad guys. By causing them to panic at the possibility of a free speech absolutist challenging their control of public discourse, potentially moving the Overton Window back toward the way normal people think, Musk has goaded our rulers into revealing their true faces.

“Elon Musk wants to buy it, but there are massive, life and globe-altering consequences for just letting people run wild on the thing.”
Journalists favored free speech. But they have been replaced by party apparatchiks like Tur. Free speech is literally the last thing they want.
Tur also expressed serious concern that Musk might allow former President Donald Trump back on Twitter after he was permanently banned in 2021.
Just a few years ago, who would have believed that it would one day be considered acceptable in America to ban a former POTUS from speaking publicly? We have entered tinpot dictatorship territory.

The pro-censorship, leftist-run social media platform has adopted a Shareholder Rights Plan, a corporate tactic used to deter buyouts.
Colloquially known as a “poison pill,” the measure allows existing shareholders to buy more shares at a discounted price, diluting the stake of any shareholder seeking to acquire the whole company and theoretically raising the costs of doing so.

Friday on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” former Securities and Exchange Commission chairman Harvey Pitt warned of a possible effort by the government or Congress to prevent Tesla CEO Elon Musk from purchasing social media giant Twitter.
Pitt said the Biden administration “is pretty much guaranteed to oppose” Musk’s bid to buy the social media company.
No matter; Musk has already won this battle. Twitter allowing freedom of speech would be a dream come true, but it would not be enough by itself to overthrow the liberal ruling class and reinstate American values. It took the radical left decades to seize control of all the major institutions; liberating them won’t happen overnight. To win this long war, the public must be made aware that the progressives who control Twitter and the rest of the information establishment are a hostile occupying force opposed to our values and freedom — that they are our enemy. Musk has accomplished this.
