Pipelines are a safe and efficient means of delivering the oil and natural gas required to keep the lights on, our houses heated, our cars running, and the economy from total collapse. Joe Biden is not the only kook who wants to put them out of commission on behalf of leftist ideology. Canadian television presenter David Suzuki calls for sabotage:

Suzuki, the godfather of the Canadian environmental movement, warned over the weekend that if politicians don’t act to reverse climate change, there could be attacks against oil and gas infrastructure.

Squawked Suzuki at an Extinction Rebellion protest:

“The next stage after this, there are going to be pipelines blown up if our leaders don’t pay attention to what’s going on.”

Then he issued a lame apology and claimed he didn’t mean it.

Predictably, Extinction Rebellion maniacs took the baton and ran with it, issuing a news release in support of Suzuki’s threatening demagoguery:

“The statement by David Suzuki is a prediction of what is to come as the desperation of ordinary people increases while governments fail to address the climate and ecological emergency, and disasters and climate chaos destroy people’s lives.”

The “climate and ecological emergency” is entirely imaginary, but the potential for violence from lunatic leftists is quite real. It may extend beyond sabotaging infrastructure.

“Not only will pipelines be blown up, but we can be certain that world leaders will be put on trial for treason or worse – be killed,” says Zain Haq, Extinction Rebellion Canada’s National Action & Strategy Coordinator. “Although Extinction Rebellion activists are nonviolent, we cannot control the actions of those outside of this movement who may commit acts of violence.”

In other words, if you love the planet, go out there and kill someone.

Haq also urged moonbats to employ violence against the media if it is not sufficiently extreme in promoting their agenda.

Like PETA, Extinction Rebellion comes across as too certifiably insane to take seriously. But the money backing it is serious enough. As Energy in Depth Canada documents, zillionaire moonbats — including scions of the Kennedy and Getty families — shower it with cash.

Jazz Shaw doesn’t think we should take this lightly:

There was a time when the most we usually had to fear from eco-terrorists was people driving metal spikes into trees to injure loggers or destroy their equipment. But now we’ve arrived at the point where they are openly threatening bombings and assassinations. This almost certainly isn’t just bluster, either. We’ve already seen physical attacks on pipelines and construction workers in the United States by supposedly “peaceful” protesters. We’ve even had presidential candidates from the left show up and cheer on their efforts.

Under Democrat rule, the authorities will ignore the growing terror threat from envirowackos to focus on a threat as phony as the climate emergency, white supremacists. As Biden’s War on Energy confirms, our rulers are on the same page as Extinction Rebellion.
