Michael Moore Jumps the Shark

Michael Moore has never been known for understatement, but his hyperbolic rant against Trump on the anniversary of 9/11 precludes taking him seriously for all but the most committed moonbats:

Moore claimed Trump is directly responsible for the deaths of Americans who have died from COVID-19.

“Now you can say, ‘Well, hey, you know, Trump didn’t actually kill them with his own hands.’ Yeah, that’s true. But I can tell you with a fact that Osama bin Laden did not fly a single one of those godd**m airplanes. So he’s innocent? No,” Moore said.

“Trump is a mass killer,” he claimed.

Supposedly, Trump has been revealed as responsible for each and every one of the 197,000 deaths by Bob Woodward’s nothingburger revelation that he downplayed the seriousness of COVID-19 to avoid panic.

Remember trying to find toilet paper last spring? Food would have been just as scarce if Trump had run around with his hair on fire instead of trying to keep the public calm.

It is doubtful Moore’s “emergency podcast” gets around to an actual policy that really did needlessly cost lives — namely, the seeding of nursing homes with patients positive for the virus by Democrats in states like New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. A large percentage of coronavirus deaths have occurred in nursing homes.

Nor is the podcast likely to mention that Democrat frontman Joe Biden opposed Trump’s policy of restricting travel from China, on the grounds that it was “racist” and “xenophobic” (although Biden later switched not only his own position but also Trump’s).

This video indicates that Moore was out front of even the New York Times in attacking Mount Rushmore:

However, the hysterical pitch of his recent demagoguery suggests he sees himself losing relevance.
