…claiming to be protesting “lack of access to grocery stores” and explaining to patrons “how capitalism exploits the working class.”

A mob of hooligans disrupting other people’s access to a grocery store may help promote the notion that blacks are oppressed because there are not enough of these stores in black neighborhoods. Leftists believe stores should be located not according to economic logic, but according to race. To the extent there is a shortage of grocery stores in black neighborhoods, crime is likely the major factor — including looting, which is a favorite pastime of Black Lives Matter “protesters.”

Leftists particularly hate Trader Joe’s because it is associated with gentrification — i.e., the economic improvement of impoverished neighborhoods. If you don’t build a grocery store, you are racist for creating a food desert. If you do build one, you are racist for inflicting gentrification. Whatever constructive people do, it will enrage leftists.

The occupation, which resulted in paying customers being locked out of the store, is the handiwork of Morning March Seattle, which has caused havoc on a nearly daily basis all summer. Earlier this month, they blocked roads, backing up traffic from Seattle to Bellevue. The media has to do a lot of heavy lifting to keep BLM’s approval numbers up.
