Nancy Pelosi Doesn’t Want Biden to Debate
Nancy Pelosi — who is next in line to the presidency after the Vice President and who recently denounced Republicans as “Enemies of State” — asserts that Joe Biden should be placed atop Big Government without having to debate his opponent:
“I don’t think that there should be any debates,” Pelosi said out of the blue at a news conference at the Capitol…
“I wouldn’t legitimize a conversation with [Trump], nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States.”
Debating the President of the United States would legitimize him. We can’t have that when there is a revolution under way.
Earlier this week, former 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton said Biden shouldn’t concede the race under any circumstances.
Even the name is Orwellian. The Democratic Party no longer believes in the democratic process. All it believes in is seizing power by whatever means prove expedient.
At least Pelosi’s call to keep Biden out of debates gives us another opportunity to laugh at CNN propagandist Brian Stelter:
Stelter raised eyebrows earlier this month by claiming “mostly right-wing media” is behind the growing push for Joe Biden not to debate President Trump — but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested Thursday the 2020 Democratic nominee should do exactly that.
Maybe the Democrats are cleverly lowering expectations, so that even a lousy performance by Biden will seem acceptable, and so that when Trump trounces him, it can be portrayed as a bully picking on a kindly but confused old man.
Or maybe they are so arrogant now that they really don’t think they should have to defend their ideas in public. If so, the next thing to go after debates may be elections themselves.
