Niece of George Floyd Shot
When leftists exploited the fentanyl overdose of career criminal George Floyd to attack local police as an institution, the predictable result was the current tsunami of violent crime. This crime tends to occur not in the comfy suburbs of our ruling class, but in inner city neighborhoods inhabited by the people progressives exploit while pretending to champion. Arianna Delane may serve as their exemplar:
A 4-year-old girl who was shot on New Year’s Day as she slept in her bed in Texas has been identified as George Floyd’s niece.
Several shots were fired into the Houston, Texas, apartment early Saturday morning, injuring the little girl inside, NBC News reported. Her father, Derrick Delane, identified her as Arianna Delane, and told KPRC that she suffered a punctured liver, lung, and several broken ribs but is healing and is expected to survive.
Derrick Delane denounced the police for taking too long to respond to the call. Maybe he should have called Black Lives Matter or the New York Times instead.
But of course, BLM rioters and moonbat propagandists aren’t much help when it comes to horrors like this. Neither is Biden’s personal Gestapo. The task of securing public safety falls to local police. Defund, demoralize, and hamstring police, and more children like Arianna Delane get shot.
It is obscene for liberals to posture as if they hold the moral high ground when they side with criminals against local police.
