Michigan isn’t the only swing state where Democrats have strategically placed the electoral system in the toilet. The Wall Street Journal shines a light on orchestrated election chaos in Pennsylvania:

Three days late, and no postmark needed: That’s the ruling on mail votes from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. State law clearly says absentee ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day. But on Thursday the court controlled by Democrats, in a case filed by Democrats, rewrote the law in a 4-3 vote, with four Democrats in the majority, 47 days before Nov. 3.

This is banana republic stuff. Just a few years ago, the judges involved would have been impeached for perverting the election for rank partisan purposes. Now, anything goes when it comes to Democrats seizing power by any means necessary.

The pretext is that expecting voters to vote by election day would result in the “disenfranchisement of voters.”

Reducing American elections to farce really will disenfranchise voters. Creating a situation whereby the election isn’t over until the establishment’s candidate wins effectively disenfranchises all voters by making the outcome a preordained conclusion.

Two weeks ago the state House, which is controlled by Republicans, passed a bill that would set an earlier deadline to request a mail ballot, 15 days before the election. On Tuesday Democratic Governor Tom Wolf had renewed his call for legislative action to count ballots that arrive by Nov. 6, if they’re postmarked. The Legislature is the proper place for that debate, but the court’s ruling means that Mr. Wolf now has little incentive to negotiate.

No need to compromise when the courts are your tool. You can rule by decree. This is why Democrats may pack the Supreme Court if they are able to seize power in November (or whenever they decide the election is over).

This also increases the chances that the courts will decide who wins Pennsylvania, and maybe the Presidency. … If the polls are right that Biden supporters are much more likely to vote by mail, the new leeway on absentees could redound to his benefit. If ballots are disputed, lawsuits will send vote counting into the courts. Any doubt which candidate the Pennsylvania Supreme Court will favor?

The situation in Michigan is still more unacceptable. Votes are to be accepted 2 weeks after the election is over.

It is increasingly likely that Trump will be the winner on November 3, but that courts will declare Biden the winner at some point afterward, conceivably months later. Trust in the legitimacy of our elections will suffer, which will move us another step in the direction of civil war.
