To learn who is to blame for the devastating West Coast wildfires, turn to an expert — someone whose job it is to be wise and know everything. Since the ideology of moonbattery is all-encompassing, who better to pass judgment than a professor of Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies at Oregon State University? Professor Susan Shaw has found the culprit: white Christians.

The professor claims that “the intensity and scope of these fires are a result of climate change.” She then attributes the blame for the fires’ potency on “white Christians” given that, as she claims, “many Christians, especially white Christians, have embraced denial of climate science.”

No wonder moonbats hate whites and Christians so much. They are to blame for everything.

“The West is burning while most white Christians turn away from the root causes of the devastation,” writes Shaw, before adding that “White evangelicals continue to support Donald Trump overwhelmingly, even though the Trump administration has tried to roll back more than 100 environmental protection regulations.”

Trump has also called for better forest management, which would do far more to keep the fires under control than suppressing the economy with virtue-signaling regulations that even Professor Shaw must realize will never perceptibly influence the climate, much less forest fires. Since the worst possible sin is to be racist, does Professor Shaw have any regrets about scapegoating whites for natural phenomena? No:

“I don’t think that language is necessarily racially divisive or charged. It’s descriptive, and it’s the language the research I cited uses to look at climate science beliefs across Christians.”

It’s a relief to know that Christians of Color don’t cause forest fires by failing to believe in global warming dogma.

Shaw further proclaims that “the White church is mostly complicit with the intersecting systems of racism and global capitalism that underlie climate change.” Intersectionality has expanded beyond race, sex, and aberrant sexual proclivities to include leftist pseudoscience and hostility to economic freedom.

If the climate continues to fluctuate like it always has, the planet will be plunged into doom. Shaw explains how this can be prevented:

“[T]he system of white supremacy itself will have to be dismantled, if we have any hope of averting irreversible climate disaster.”

If only Hitler had thought to blame Jews for the weather, there would have been no need to be so furtive about the Holocaust.
