Profiles in Countermoonbattery: Enes Kanter Freedom
Lately, professional sports is one of the last places to look for countermoonbattery. That makes it all the more admirable when athletes show the courage to resist the stampeding herd on behalf of liberty:
Toting a new last name that he said honors his liberties as an American, Celtics center Enes Kanter Freedom became a naturalized US citizen Monday at a ceremony in the federal courthouse in Boston.
“America has taught me so much,” he said after the ceremony at the John Joseph Moakley United States Courthouse. “Here, people should feel blessed. You have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and freedom of press . . . I want to carry that word [freedom] with me everywhere I go.”
He didn’t come here from Turkey to make America into Turkey. He came here to be American. He couldn’t be more welcome.
Anti-American ChiCom lackey LeBron James could not be reached for comment. He has been too busy sulking about inequity, white supremacy, and Freedom’s shoes.
