Researchers Prove That Self-Defense Is Racist
Authoritarian leftists want us to surrender our right of self-defense and lay ourselves at their mercy. The television screams that we should do it because the authorities we are supposed to trust to protect us were worse than useless in Uvalde and let a massacre happen. That lunatic argument only resonates with journalists and politicians. But progressives have another argument, which can be applied to enforce any demand whatsoever. Everything they don’t like is racist. That includes the right of self-defense.
From the abstract of what apparently passes for a work of scholarly research:
Objective
Racism is related to policies preferences and behaviors that adversely affect blacks and appear related to a fear of blacks (e.g., increased policing, death penalty). This study examined whether racism is also related to gun ownership and opposition to gun controls in US whites.
Sensible readers won’t get past the first sentence without gasping in amazement that any informed person could believe increased policing adversely affects blacks, when blacks are disproportionately victimized by crime, living as they do among the demographic that commits the lion’s share of it. However, this was written not by informed persons, but by professional chin-pullers in the fields of Behavioral Studies, Psychological Sciences, and Sociomanagement.
Unsurprisingly, their objective was achieved. The authors proved to their own satisfaction that owning a gun and supporting gun rights are racist. They triumphantly conclude:
Symbolic racism was related to having a gun in the home and opposition to gun control policies in US whites.
Taxpayers are forced to subsidize this moonbattery. Biden wants to stick us with the bill for students who wallow in it rather than seeking constructive employment.
