Brian Stelter’s Equivalent in 1984
In their rush to impose totalitarianism, Democrats sometimes overstep and have to retreat. The American public is still armed, and our elections have not yet been reduced to total farce, so despite Democrat control of Big Tech and 90% of the media, they can’t move too far too fast. That’s why they had to pull the plug (for now) on professional liar Nina Jankowicz’s Ministry of Truth.
Americans are relieved; the anti-Americans comprising the liberal establishment are not. Brian Stelter squeaked mournfully that the Ministry of Truth “sounded logical” but was “doomed to fail” because conservatives destroyed it with the sort of misinformation the ministry was designed to protect against.
If Stelter seems familiar, you might be thinking of the character Tom Parsons from 1984:
He was a fattish but active man of paralyzing stupidity, a mass of imbecile enthusiasms — one of those completely unquestioning, devoted drudges on whom, more even than on the Thought Police, the stability of the Party depended.
Brian Stelters are almost as important as the ratlike Merrick Garland and Carl Cameron types who run the bureaucratic machinery or call out thought criminals so that they might be carted off to the Ministry of Love.
