There are still enough Americans living in the USA that attempting a direct repeal the Second Amendment would result in resistance. Yet the leftist agenda cannot be advanced much further until the public has been disarmed. So Democrats have settled on a strategy of destroying firearms manufacturers.

First, they soften up public opinion with a propaganda barrage fed by the mass shootings that inevitably result when a society promotes psychosis and lets maniacs run loose. Then, they cripple the businesses they want to destroy with shenanigans like this:

The United States has halted most civilian firearm exports for the next 90 days, the U.S. Department of Commerce said late Friday.

Moves like this are always pulled late in the day on Friday, so as to escape public scrutiny.

Citing national security reasons, the Commerce Department said the U.S. will largely stop issuing civilian export licenses and will assess the “risk of firearms being diverted to entities or activities that promote regional instability, violate human rights, or fuel criminal activities.”

Naturally the ban does not apply to Ukraine, at which the regime is shoveling hundreds of $billions of our money as our own economy drowns in government debt. Biden’s handlers want Ukrainians to have guns. They don’t want you to have guns. That’s why they will pull stunts like this as part of a broader campaign to drive firearms manufacturers out of business. Other aspects of the campaign entail denying them banking services and suing them for misuse of their products.

The regime will still need guns to provide at our expense to friends like Zelensky and to shoot those of us deemed to be Threats to Their Democracy. After legitimate manufacturers have been bankrupted, the firearms industry will be nationalized, with Big Government as its only customer.

Something similar is happening in the auto industry. In the future, all cars will be electric, manufactured at a loss, and driven by our rulers.

Not even our Democrat rulers are immune from the violent chaos they have been imposing on us:

Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) was reportedly carjacked at gunpoint in Washington, D.C., on Monday night.

It happened right outside his apartment building at around 9:30.

The congressman, whose district is on the U.S. southern border, is reportedly safe.

Unlike his constituents, who are the farthest from safe thanks to literally millions of lawbreakers being allowed to pour across the border by Cuellar’s party.

An alert that was sent out in the area said that the suspects were three black males.

Three black male hoodlums in the DC. That narrows it down to under half the population.

Even if Cuellar is a Democrat, let’s not laugh too hard at his misfortune:

Cuellar captured national attention after the May 6, 2023, Allen, Texas, mall shooting by rejecting calls for more gun control. While Texas is often criticized by the left for having less gun control than other states, Breitbart News observed Cuellar pointing out that shootings occur in states with high levels of gun control too.

Washington, DC, where Cuellar was carjacked by armed assailants, has some of the most stringent gun control in the country.

It isn’t every day that a Democrat is proven right. It only happens when they buck their own party.

Democrats howl in rage when their agenda is impeded by what they call “extremists.” We are left with no doubt that extremists constitute a dire threat to Our Democracy and must be neutralized by whatever means prove effective. What exactly is an extremist?

The most obvious example is those who protested against election fraud on January 6, 2021, some of whom behaved foolishly and unlawfully. That tiny handful of people soon found their way into solitary confinement. But there are more recent examples of extremism.

One is those who want Joe Biden investigated for the flagrant corruption that has characterized his political career:

The White House blasted Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) move Tuesday to direct House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden, calling it “extreme politics” of the worst kind.

Another is those who would honor their oath by upholding the US Constitution:

On Tuesday’s broadcast of “CNN Primetime,” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) refused to say whether or not New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) can use a public health emergency declaration to unilaterally change the state’s gun laws, but said “mayors and our governors have the hardest job in the world right now when it comes to gun violence” because “an extremist United States Supreme Court” has prevented them from enacting good policies like completely banning carrying guns.

In contrast, Michelle Lujan Grisham is not an extremist, despite having committed a federal crime that it is important she be prosecuted for by depriving her constituents of their constitutional rights — or at least, she is no more an extremist than her Democrat colleagues, who will impose the same tyranny on a federal basis the moment they think they can pull it off without too much Lexington & Concord-style bloodshed.

Pushback continues against New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s full frontal assault on the US Constitution. Her absurd “emergency” decree canceling gun rights in the name of public health has provoked numerous lawsuits. State Attorney General Raul Torrez refuses to defend her in court:

“Though I recognize my statutory obligation as New Mexico’s chief legal officer to defend state officials when they are sued in their official capacity, my duty to uphold and defend the constitutional rights of every citizen takes precedence,” his letter continued. “Simply put, I do not believe that the Emergency Order will have any meaningful impact on public safety but, more importantly, I do not believe it passes constitutional muster.”

That is putting it mildly. The decree’s only purpose is to attack the Constitution. As many have observed, it would be unlikely to reduce gun violence.

Torrez takes the tyrant to the woodshed:

“I encourage you to engage in a more thoughtful and deliberative process with members of the New Mexico Legislature rather than taking unilateral action that infringes on the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens while having little if any discernible impact on the underlying dynamics driving gun violence in our community.”

Just the response you would expect of an American patriot. However, Torrez is a Democrat — and he isn’t alone:

Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller, also a Democrat, said in a statement to social media that the city’s police force would not be responsible for enforcing the governor’s order. Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen announced on Monday that he would not enforce the order either, calling it unconstitutional.

The Southwest’s answer to Gretchen Whitmer remains defiant:

Lujan Grisham responded to Allen in a statement to the NM Political Report, saying that her administration had “given you the tools, Sheriff Allen — now stop being squeamish about using them.”

Law enforcement had better not be squeamish with leftists in charge.

Lujan Grisham said in an interview on CNN: “It’s not for police to tell me what’s constitutional or not.”

What the police need to tell her is that depriving Americans of their constitutional rights is a violation of federal law punishable by up to 10 years in prison. They need to tell her this as they escort her out of her office in handcuffs.

Looks like Democrats overstepped in their eagerness to disarm us and now have to backpedal. That would be why lunatic leftists Ted Lieu and David Hogg both suddenly discovered a love of the Constitution and denounced Lujan Grisham for attacking it, using identical language in a clear indication that orders had come down from on high to strategically step back for now.

It also looks like a schism could be developing within the party between those who are truly evil and those who ended up Democrats by some horrible mistake, and who actually believe in freedom and America. Hopefully the latter group is large enough to cause the party to collapse when they bolt from it.

In a trial balloon for the Democratic Party, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham suspended the Second Amendment by executive order in the name of another supposed health emergency. If this flies, Biden will issue a similar decree. But it won’t fly:

On Sunday afternoon, dozens of gun rights activists gathered in Old Town Albuquerque to voice their displeasure with Gov Grisham’s 30-day suspension of open and concealed carry laws that went into effect in the city of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. Many of the protesters openly displayed their firearms in a deliberate defiance of Grisham’s decree.

Protesters proudly displayed American, Gadsden, and “Come and Take It” flags. A man was holding a sign addressed to Grisham that read: “Our founding fathers warned us about you.” A woman was holding a sign that stated: “Gun rights are women’s rights.”

DeSantis slammed the so-called emergency public health order on Saturday morning, “Just a few months after ending the COVID ‘public health emergency,’ the Governor of New Mexico has declared a new ‘public health emergency’: Guns.”

“She is now asserting the power to infringe on Second Amendment rights by executive fiat. This assertion is not surprising — since 2020, ‘public health’ has become a pretext for depriving citizens of civil liberties and trampling on our Constitutional rights,” the Republican presidential candidate proclaimed.

DeSantis declared, “It ends when I am President. Your 2nd Amendment rights SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.”

So does fellow patriot Mike Lee:

Lujan Grisham’s decree would be moronic as anything other than an attack on the Constitution. Four lawsuits have been filed against it.

Democrats may realize they overstepped. Leftists Ted Lieu and David Hogg — whose entire reason for public existence is his radical opposition to gun rights — have weighed in against the decree, apparently reading from the same memo passed down from above:

No doubt an executive order has been prepared and awaits Biden’s signature the moment his handlers think they can get away with something like the New Mexico decree without provoking a bloodbath. They know that once we have been disarmed, game over. We will be completely at their mercy — and leftists have no mercy, as they have demonstrated time and again where they have achieved total control.

Encouraging as the pushback has been, the response must be more forceful, or Democrats may conclude they did not overstep after all. Lujan Grisham has committed a federal crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison by attempting to deprive Americans of a constitutional right. She must be removed from office and imprisoned. Anything short of this will signal that we do not take our liberties seriously.

As every schoolchild should know, the right to bear arms is prominently guaranteed in the US Constitution. Yet this fundamental right has been suspended in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County by decree of New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham:

Grisham announced the order, made through the New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH), to ban non-law enforcement personnel from carrying firearms in certain areas, either openly or concealed, regardless of whether any individual gun owner has a permit to carry. The public health decree will remain in effect for 30 days…

As Covid tyranny made clear, Big Government acknowledges no limits in matters of public health. Consequently, we can expect every aspect of life to be reframed by the government/media in public health terms, so that our rights can be ignored. If preventing law-abiding citizens from defending themselves (and others) can be said to promote public health, what couldn’t be?

You don’t have to be a legal expert like Jonathan Turley to understand that the decree “is flagrantly unconstitutional under existing Second Amendment precedent.” Democrats violate the Constitution deliberately, revving up their base to support rendering it null and void by packing the Supreme Court. They are also testing the resolve of the resistance, and experimenting as to what people will put up with before waking up to the fact that the Democratic Party is the enemy of the United States.

Encouragingly, there has been immediate pushback. Bernalillo County Sheriff John Allen says he is “wary of … the potential risks posed by prohibiting law-abiding citizens from their constitutional right to self-defense.” State Rep. John Block has sensibly called for Lujan Grisham’s impeachment and removal.

I know just where to take her from the governor’s mansion. Depriving Americans of their constitution rights is a crime punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.

Liberals envision an America that is densely concentrated and denied the right to bear arms. Ammo.com has collected stats that suggest the effect this will have on violent crime:

The highest violent crime rate in the U.S. occurs in communities with more than 500,000 and less than 1,000,000 residents.

The second highest violent crime rate occurs in communities with a population size between 250,000-499,999 thousand (21.7 per 100,000). The third highest violent crime rate occurs in communities with more than 1,000,000 people (20.0 per 100,000).

As for Democrats’ plan to make us safe by disarming us,

While New Hampshire has relaxed firearms laws, the state’s violent crime rate in 2022 was only 146.38. Washington, D.C., has extensive firearm regulations but a much higher violent crime rate per capita.

DC’s violent crime rate of 999.8 per 100,000 population is the highest in the country.

Of the four counties with the highest homicide rates, three have strict gun laws (Cook Co., IL; Los Angeles Co., CA; Philadelphia Co., PA).

One reason gun laws do not reduce violent crime is that like tyrants, criminals are bolder against an unarmed population. Another is that 89% of firearms used in crimes are obtained illegally.

Liberal utopia will be a dangerous place. Let’s hope that after they pack us into their 15-minute cities, we are never more than 15 minutes from the emergency room.

Given that Democrats are the Party of Big Money, it comes as no surprise that they are attacking our right to bear arms by attempting to price us out of it:

More than two dozen House Democrats put forward legislation Friday that would slap “assault weapons” and high-capacity magazines with a 1,000% excise tax, a change that would raise the price of a $500 weapon to $5,000 in a bid to reduce access to guns across the country.

The power to tax is the power to destroy. It can even be used to destroy the Constitution.

If the bill goes through, police-defunding congresscritter Cori Bush (D-BLM) will have to spend even more than the $490,000 she blew on private security last year. No worries; or rulers have plenty of money — ours.

Fortunately, it won’t become law until Democrats achieve the leverage.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) is urging the Biden Administration to “issue” new gun controls under the auspices of the gun control package passed by Congress and signed by Biden during the summer of 2022.

Blumenthal wants to be known for something other than stolen valor.

The 2022 gun control package Blumenthal has in mind, the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, was the result of Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) crossing the aisle to work with Democrats to secure gun control.

Cornyn played a central role in rewarding race riots by making George Floyd Day (a.k.a “Juneteenth”) a federal holiday. Working across the aisle with Democrats comes naturally to him.

Blumenthal tweeted: “I’m hoping all new regulations will be issued & made effective soon by the Biden Administration under the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.”

The New York Times reported that the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act contained a provision that allows an expansion of background checks via a reclassification of what constitutes a firearms dealer. This provision would shift the definition of firearms dealer so as to include not only those who make their livelihood selling guns but “anyone who earns a profit from selling firearms” as well.

Bureaurats redefining the term “firearms dealer” is a bigger deal than it might seem. Here’s why:

Expanded background checks lead to a gun registry, as they are not enforceable without such a registry. Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) spoke with Breitbart News about the anticipated executive action and noted that, ironically, the Firearm Owners’ Protection Act (1986) prohibits the creation of gun registry.

Once this little wrinkle has been ironed out, Democrats can establish the registry. After that, they only need to wait for a sufficiently horrific school shooting or social unrest resulting from power outages before door-to-door confiscation can begin.

After that, the last off ramp before Soviet-style despotism is civil war.

However, leftists have already broadcast their intention to pack the court with rubberstamp apparatchiks as soon as they have the leverage. In the end, America’s only real defense is the right to bear arms, which cannot be repealed because it is a natural right. However, it can be denied — which it is in some states more than others.
