Arrested in UK for Posing With Gun in Florida

The totalitarian moonbats ruling Britain are so terrified of a citizenry that can defend itself that IT consultant Jon Richelieu-Booth was arrested by West Yorkshire Police for having his picture taken with a shotgun — even though the picture was taken in a free country, not the UK:

The 50-year-old said that on Aug 13 he had posted a picture of himself on LinkedIn holding a shotgun while on a private homestead with friends during a holiday in Florida.

Mr Richelieu-Booth claims the LinkedIn message contained nothing he considered threatening, with the picture attached to a lengthy post about his day and work activities.

However, he said that a police officer later visited his home to warn him that concerns had been raised about the post.

“I was told to be careful what I say online and I need to understand how it makes people feel,” he said.

In Woke World, it’s all about feelings. The right to bear arms gives moonbats bad feelings.

Richelieu-Booth said two officers then returned to his home shortly after 10pm on Aug 24 and arrested him.

A night in a jail cell commenced a months-long nightmare that reads like a cross between George Orwell and Franz Kafka. His alleged original crime was something along the lines of “possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.”

The British government is right to fear the British people, even if there is no reason to fear Richelieu-Booth in particular. They have a small window of time to save their nation before Starmer et al. can permanently obliterate it via mass Third World immigration. If enough people wake up in time, there could be pushback.

A Rare Common Sense Gun Restriction

For the first time in a while, a restriction on our constitutional right to bear arms has been proposed that makes sense:

“Individuals within the DOJ are reviewing ways to ensure that mentally ill individuals suffering from gender dysphoria are unable to obtain firearms while they are unstable and unwell,” one source inside the Justice Department told The Daily Wire.

People who believe themselves to be members of the opposite sex are by definition psychotic. The Gun Control Act of 1968 prohibits firearm ownership by those who have been committed to a mental institution. Why not apply it to lunatics who ought to be committed?

According to a DOJ spokesman,

“Under Attorney General Bondi’s leadership this Department of Justice is actively considering a range of options to prevent mentally unstable individuals from committing acts of violence, especially at schools.”

We will know this makes sense if it turns out to be the one gun restriction liberals don’t like. Their own preferred solution is to disarm normal people who might otherwise defend children from the transsexual maniacs who have become increasingly prevalent.

Never-Trumper Jonah Goldberg defected from Fox News to serve as a token pseudoconservative on the leftist propaganda platform CNN. Here’s what he thinks of Trump using the National Guard to restore law and order in Democrat-run cities that have degenerated into violent chaos:

“I’m all for crime reduction. But the conservatives who are celebrating this… You listen to the mayor of Chicago talk about the gun crisis in America. Well, what is to stop, given the precedents that Donald Trump is setting, what is to stop a Democrat, a Governor Pritzker, a Governor Newsom, say, ‘You know, we have a gun crisis in America, just as legitimate on the facts arguments as a crime crisis,’ and say ‘We’re going to send the National Guard into states to go get their guns’?”

To answer Goldberg’s question, two things stop the Democrats: first, the US Constitution; second, the guns themselves.

Goldberg seems to agree with hard left kooks like Brandon Johnson that Americans exercising their right to keep and bear arms so as to defend themselves constitutes a “crisis”:

Maybe Goldberg was always a closet liberal, and his Trump derangement syndrome only revealed it. Or maybe TDS drove him politically insane. In either case, CNN is welcome to him.

Democrats Fundraise on Transgender Church Murders

Minnesota Democrats are fundraising on the recent homicidal assault on a church by one of the transgender maniacs they have gone out of their way to foster.

According to liberal ideology, the children were not murdered by Robert/Robin Westman, but by the guns he used. Therefore, the bloodbath is an opportunity to raise money to fight the Second Amendment:

Our right to bear arms helps us defend the innocent from maniacs like Westman, who are outside the law and therefore will never have much difficulty obtaining firearms, just as they easily obtain illegal drugs. Democrats have already made clear which side they are on regarding Westman.

How Colorado Democrats Jack Up Gun Violence

By now we know how it works. Restrict gun ownership to criminals, and gun violence goes up. Colorado is a case in point. Back in 2013, Democrats exploited Sandy Hook as a pretext to declare war on our right of self-defense:

That war included bans on “high capacity” magazines, requirements for universal background checks, fees for existing background checks, and allowing victims of gun violence to sue firearm manufacturers for the misuse of weapons.

Since then, Dems have doubled down. For example,

Most recently, Colorado Gov. Jared Polis (D) signed a semiautomatic ban that represents “one of the most restrictive regulations ever adopted in Colorado,” according to the Colorado Sun.

The predictable consequence of this long-running campaign:

Ammoland News examined firearm homicides in the state and found there were “86 gun homicides” in 2014 and 237 in 2023.

Insanity has been defined as “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” But maybe Democrats are getting the results they want. Why else would they undermine local police and import massive numbers of criminals from the Third World as they disarm law-abiding citizens? They can’t all be that crazy.
