Taliban monsters are not the only terrorists to benefit from USAID’s largesse at our expense. It has also worked together with the State Department and the United Nations to enrich terrorists in Syria, Yemen, and of course Gaza. Also aboard the gravy train is Somalia, which is represented in our Congress by Ilhan Omar.

Over the last two years, USAID doled out $2.3 billion in “humanitarian assistance” to Omar’s native Somalia. Last year it reported a request for $1.6 billion in aid and even in December 2024, with the Biden administration on the way out the door, it sent an additional $29 million.

USAID support for Somalia had doubled under the Biden administration and with $3.3 billion from USAID allocated in the last 5 years.

Somalia may be the most savage failed state in the world. Christians are viciously persecuted. Somalia manages to subsist at its level of dysfunction in part because it is subsidized by the US government through USAID.

The Muslim terrorists thriving in Somalia have plenty of company:

USAID has sent $9.3 billion to Islamic terror states collectively responsible for killing over 3,000 American soldiers.

No wonder Democrat Swamp rats have panicked in response to unfolding DOGE revelations. What they have been doing with our money will not play in Peoria.

The Islamic maniacs comprising the Taliban provided a base from which al Qaeda launched the 9/11 attacks that killed thousands of Americans. This resulted in a war that went on for 2 decades, during which the USA fought the Taliban in Afghanistan. Then Joe Biden was put in power. He surrendered to the Taliban, abandoning $7 billion worth of military equipment to our enemies in a botched withdrawal that resulted in the death of 13 US servicemembers. That was followed by this:

In 2022, the DAB Afghanistan Bank showed off photos of $40 million in stacks of hundred dollar bills sitting on the tarmac at Kabul International Airport. The Taliban-controlled central bank described this as one of three shipments of “humanitarian aid” amounting to over $100 million.

DAB, Afghanistan’s central bank, was headed by Noor Ahmad Agha, a “specially designated terrorist” who had been named as the “financier of bomb-making”, including the IEDs which had killed over 1,000 American soldiers, and sending money to a sanctioned figure was illegal.

Who sent this fiend the money? US taxpayers did.

The $40 million on the tarmac was part of a much larger scheme under which USAID and the State Department provided over $1.7 billion in funding to the UN, which then shipped $2.9 billion in cash to Afghanistan.

The money had to be laundered through likeminded accomplices at the United Nations because it was illegal for US banks to give it to Taliban terrorists.

USAID funded the UN, which used an intermediary to purchase the hundred-dollar bills from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where Afghanistan’s wealth, claimed by the Taliban, was being held, then contracted with a company, quite possibly Osama bin Laden’s old airline, to fly it to Afghanistan, deposit it in banks, allocate it to NGOs and then use DAB to convert the dollars into local Afghan currency.

No sane mind could grasp what motivates liberals to commit this treason with our money. It only matters that they be stopped, that they be held accountable, and that it never happen again.

If only US-taxpayer support for Muslim terrorism through USAID were limited to enriching Jew-baiting rappers. It gets worse:

[C]urrent and former U.S. officials who worked closely with the embattled aid group say they watched for years as it funneled millions of dollars to anti-Israel advocacy groups and entities linked to terrorism. …

In November 2022, for instance, USAID awarded $100,000 to a Palestinian activist group whose leaders hailed the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated terror group. Just six days before Hamas’s Oct. 7 assault on Israel, USAID handed $900,000 “to a terror charity in Gaza involved with the son of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh.” …

A February report from the Middle East Forum think tank found that USAID had awarded “millions of federal dollars” to “organizations directly in Gaza controlled by Hamas.”

Given the ongoing war of eradication Islam has been waging for 1,400 years, this represents treason against Western Civilization:

“Before and after Oct. 7, USAID flowed uncountable hundreds of millions of dollars toward Hamas that enabled it to launch the attack and keep battling Israel afterwards,” [Senator Ted] Cruz [R-TX] said. “The full story of USAID funding Hamas is vast and much of it was done in secret.”

In addition to funding terrorists,

Under Samantha Power, former president Joe Biden’s pick to run USAID, agency officials fought pro-Israel policymaking at the State Department, often urging their colleagues at Foggy Bottom to pare down statements that praised the Jewish state, former officials said. In 2021, during a period of conflict with Hamas, Power herself refused to meet with Israel’s ambassador unless Israel reached a ceasefire with the Iran-backed terror group.

In the context of fighting terrorists, ceasefire is often equivalent to surrender.

The depth of USAID’s maleficence may never be known, because according to inspector general Paul Martin, it “does not maintain a comprehensive internal database of subawardees.” They do not want us to know where our money has been going.

However, we do know that with leftist kooks like Obama’s UN ambassador Samantha Power in charge, it has not been going where we would want it to. In her capacity as USAID administrator, this malevolent moonbat even opined that fertilizer shortages that cause food shortage are good, because climate ideology.

USAID is a hill the Democratic Party seems willing to die on. Die it will — and not a moment too soon.
