Horrific crimes are being committed against children because many in the medical profession lack the courage to defend the innocent from the LGBT agenda. Fortunately, there are exceptions. As in other totalitarian societies, the nails that stand up get hammered down.

Eithan Haim was celebrating his graduation from medical residency and looking forward to a career as a general surgeon…

But then there was a loud knock on Haim’s apartment door.

It wasn’t flowers or balloons, but rather two agents from the Department of Health and Human Services alerting him that he was the target of a criminal investigation.

Here’s what attracted the attention of the Biden Regime:

A month earlier, Haim was the anonymous whistleblower for a bombshell story about secretive transgender surgeries for minors at one of the most prominent hospitals in the country.

You might think children would be safe from sex change procedures in Texas. Attorney General Ken Paxton had publicly acknowledged them as child abuse. Texas Children’s Hospital — the largest pediatric hospital in the country, where Haim was a resident — announced that it would no longer perform “gender affirming services.” But just a few days afterward,

Haim learned about a surgery in which doctors at the hospital implanted puberty blockers into a prepubescent 11-year-old girl who believed she was transgender.

He soon discovered that the hospital’s disavowal of sex change procedures was a sham.

As he realized,

“It’s my responsibility as a doctor, as a physician, to expose this to the public. If I don’t, then this abuse can continue. I knew that future generations, like my children, would never be able to forgive me if they knew I had the chance to do something and I decided to stay silent.

“It requires average, everyday doctors to stand up and speak out against things like this.”

Not all have the character. People don’t want to endanger their careers, or worse yet hear federal agents knocking at their door. So they go along.

The information proving that Texas Children’s Hospital continued to perform sex-change procedures ultimately appeared in a May 16, 2023 article by City Journal’s Christopher Rufo, who disclosed lectures as well as redacted images of surgery and clinic schedules showing medical activity.

This resulted in legislative action to put a stop for real to the crimes against humanity being inflicted on children at the hospital.

When the Feds come for Rufo despite his high profile as one of the few true journalists left, America will be officially over. For now, they are content to persecute the previously unnamed whistleblower who had allowed Rufo to expose what was going on. Haim stands accused of somehow violating HIPAA by leaking deidentified medical records.

Despite the Kafkaesque opacity of our federal government, it is clear to Haim that he is being made an example of:

“For me, it’s obvious that this is a political investigation in order to prevent this from happening at other hospitals that might be lying to the public about the existence of their programs.”

Haim and his wife have already blown through the “entirety of our retirement, investments, savings, and almost all of our disposable income” on his legal defense, and the Feds haven’t even filed charges yet. Before soft tyranny turns hard, the process is often the punishment.

If Democrats continue to consolidate power, prisons will fill with the decent and the courageous. Haim and Rufo will have good company.
