Looks like the police are systemically racist after all, just like the media shrieks — even in ultraliberal New York City:

An analysis of the numbers shows that 96.1 percent of homicide suspects arrested in New York City were either black, Hispanic or Asian. Additionally, 93.8 percent of robbery suspects were non-whites, 94.9 percent of rape suspects arrested were not white, and 97.8 percent of shooting suspects arrested in 2021 were non-whites.

The only way to achieve equity is to abandon the racist practice of arresting people on the basis of evidence that they committed a crime. If Affirmative Action could put Kamala Harris a heartbeat away from the presidency, it can achieve racial justice regarding arrests. To compensate for past injustice, we need a moratorium on arresting nonwhites.
