Senator Praises Build Back Better at Communist Ceremony

Americans are still armed, so Democrats hesitate to say the quiet part out loud. That’s why Biden had to pull the nomination of Saule Omarova, a Stalinist trained at Moscow State University in Soviet days who wants to nationalize all bank accounts. But after almost a year of Biden, everyone knows that today’s Democrats are communists, so winks and nods are okay. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) even spoke over the weekend at an award ceremony hosted by a Communist Party affiliate.

Via the Washington Free Beacon:

Blumenthal, one of the wealthiest members of the Senate, presented certificates of special recognition from the Senate to three winners of the “Amistad Award,” given annually by the Connecticut People’s World Committee, an affiliate of the Communist Party USA and the Marxist People’s World news site.

There is no communist like a rich communist. They know that Marxism is oligarchical collectivism taken to the final extreme of enforced stagnation. It is their way of pulling up the ladder so that the deplorable middle class can’t follow them.

As we often see with rich leftists, Blumenthal did not earn his money. His wife inherited it.

Blumenthal used his speech at the ceremony to tout Democratic legislative policies, including voting rights reform, ending the filibuster and the Build Back Better Act, according to the Yankee Institute, a free market think tank in Connecticut that reported details of the event.

“Voting rights reform” would implement Stalin’s notion that it doesn’t matter who votes; it only matters who counts the votes. Ending the filibuster would allow Democrats to move the ratchet several notches through radical legislation before the enraged populace can pry them out of power. Build Back Better is a classic example of imposing communism by increments. If massive wasteful spending combined with skyrocketing taxes and inflation is sufficient to collapse the economy, we may have a straightforward Marxist–Leninist government sooner than Bernie Sanders supporters dared hope.

Blumenthal was introduced at the event by Lisa Bergmann, a Communist Party member who blamed corporations for the “imperialism that exists in our world that is undermining the labor and environment.”

The only difference between avowed communists and Democrats is that the latter are less honest.

“If you are not already part of the Communist Party, we invite you to participate and contribute and join,” Bergmann said after Blumenthal’s speech. “There’s more and more people talking about socialism in this country as it becomes more and more clear that capitalism is not going to work for our future.”

If freedom (a.k.a. “capitalism”) doesn’t work, it will be because Democrats wouldn’t let it work. That is the Democratic Party’s primary objective, as has become increasingly obvious with the emergence of conspicuous Marxists like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren.
