A man who believes he is a woman suffers from severe mental illness. Encouraging such people to wallow in psychosis instead of helping them toward sanity may have unintended consequences:

Nikki Secondino, a 22-year-old transgender woman, has been charged with the murder of [his] father, Carlo Secondino, 61, who was killed in a stabbing at the family home in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

He apparently also attacked his 19-year-old sister, who is is in critical condition.

Initially, police suspected that the incident was connected to a home invasion, but it was later revealed that Nikki may have fabricated the entire story in an attempt to cover up [his] involvement in the crime.

If people would believe he is a woman, why wouldn’t they believe that the vicious assault on his family was a home invasion?

Secondino smirked but ignored questions as detectives escorted [him] from Brooklyn’s 62nd Precinct Thursday night.

At least he will have comfy accommodations if found guilty. Authorities are not likely to lock him up with other men.

Let that be a lesson to girls to obey the law and stay out of jail. You don’t know who you might encounter in there.
