Having been pulled into the Democrat Death Spiral by the moonbats infesting Seattle, Washington State continues to lead the march off the edge of a cliff into terminal wokeness. The kooks in charge dispense both justice and other people’s money on the basis of race. Confirming that this is not a matter of a deranged sense of fairness but rather the liberal reflex to side with the Other, Islamic holy days are now honored as state holidays:

The state of Washington, which does not officially recognize Easter or Yom Kippur as state holidays, became the first state in the nation to recognize the two Islamic holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as unpaid state-recognized holidays when Democrat Governor Bob Ferguson signed the legislation into law this month.

Mycologists will search in vain for a lower life-form than Bob Ferguson.

“This bill is historic. Washington is now the first state to recognize Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as state holidays,” Ferguson boasted on Facebook.

Too bad Ferguson won’t live long enough to achieve the historic milestone of becoming the first governor to get beheaded for being an infidel. Muslims comprise only 0.4% of the state population as of 2020 — i.e., less than 1 in 200.

However, it is a very special 0.4% from the liberal point of view, because Islamic ideology demands the eradication of our civilization.
