Covid tyrants are like drug addicts. The more they indulge in their preferred poison, the more of it they need. Hopelessly addicted to authoritarianism, our moonbat overlords now want to ban talking while eating or drinking:

Just how far will Democrats extend “Two Weeks to Stop the Spread”? In deep blue Oregon, the answer may be forever. The state’s liberal rulers are taking steps to make an indoor mask mandate permanent:

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) convened a Rules Advisory Committee (RAC) on Thursday. The RAC provided feedback on the indoor mask rule. The point of the committee is to suggest what should and shouldn’t be included in the ruling and discuss the impact it will have on the public. …

This is the first step in making the rule permanent.

Technocrat Paul Cieslak of the OHA assures us that making it permanent doesn’t mean it will go on forever. It can be repealed. However, that will probably require Oregonians to elect Republicans — not a likely prospect in this colony of California.

Bureauweenies say they must make the mandate permanent in order to extend it. If they still want to extend it now, why would they ever let it end? Even if Covid ever goes away, there is always the flu — plus, you never know when the ChiComs will oblige them by cooking up a new virus.

No need to wonder what our near future will look like if we don’t start pushing back hard against Covid tyrants like the Democrats. Australia is already there, having constructed Covid concentration camps.

Communist dictator Vladimir Lenin introduced the concentration camp as a means of isolating disfavored sectors of the population. Hitler and Stalin took the ball and ran with it.

At least there was an honesty to Nazi death camps and Soviet gulags. You weren’t expected to pretend you were there for the sake of public health.

Greece takes the next step in Covid tyranny by levying a monthly fine for not getting a vaccine that Big Government has mandated you must take whether you want it or need it. Anyone over age 60 who holds out will be fined €100 ($114) per month.

From CNBC:

“It is not a punishment. It is a price of health, but also an act of justice towards the most vaccinated,” Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said via Twitter on Tuesday.

The “price of health” will fall most heavily on those least able to pay. What this could conceivably have to do with justice remains a mystery. If the vaccines are effective, the vaccinated are already protected.

Covid infections have been going down in Greece, from 8,969 cases on November 9 to 7,720 yesterday. But as Steve Baker could tell you, this isn’t about health.

German Chancellor-designate Olaf Scholz suggests mandatory vaccinations starting in late winter. Austria has announced a universal vaccine mandate as of February 1.

Speaking of CNBC, “Mad Money” host Jim Cramer shrieks that the military should force all Americans to get jabbed by January 1:

“So, it’s time to admit that we have to go to war against COVID,” he emphasized. “Require vaccination universally. Have the military run it.”

By now it should be obvious that tyrants exploiting the hysteria of fools represent a vastly greater long-term danger than Covid.

The long-term danger of the vaccines will only be learned in the course of time.

Here’s an interesting fact those residing within the liberal establishment media’s bubble of propaganda may never know. Free Florida — the subject of pearl-clutching by the media because Governor Ron DeSantis does not engage in Covid tyranny — has the lowest Covid cases per capita in the nation. Blue Michigan — under the heel of Covid tyrant Gretchen Whitmer — has the highest.

DeSantis has been slammed by critics in the media since the start of the pandemic over his opposition to government-imposed mask and vaccine mandates. In 2020, DeSantis was accused by a Democratic politician of going on a “killing spree” for opposing mask mandates and a Vanity Fair headline from September of this year referred to the governor as an “angel of death.”

At the same time Florida reported the lowest amount of new cases in the country per capita, coronavirus cases are surging in many states where strict lockdown orders were issued by Democratic governors.

Michigan, where Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer imposed some of the most controversial restrictions in the nation during the height of the pandemic, leads the nation in daily coronavirus cases per capita.

Gretchen “DAISNAID” Whitmer infamously forbade Michiganders from buying garden seeds because Covid. Like Andrew Cuomo and former Pennsylvania Health Secretary (currently the historic first female four-star admiral despite being male) Richard I mean “Rachel” Levine, she killed people who were mostly done paying taxes anyway by forcing nursing homes to accept Covid patients.

Freedom works. Tyranny does not work, except for the tyrants. Freedom is the exception and tyranny the rule because it is the natural state of affairs for those in charge to seize ever more power at the expense of everyone else. Society is only healthy when that power is limited. It is only limited when the population cherishes freedom enough to limit it. We will only cherish freedom sufficiently when we stop listening to tyrants’ lackeys — that is, to the liberal establishment media.
