Fact Checking the Fact Checkers

Democrats have long made it clear that they regard your children as theirs. Parents produce the bodies; the lunatic left education establishment sees to shaping the minds. Shrillary actually published a book entitled It Takes a Village back in 1996. The phrase means that parents don’t raise children; the government raises children. As MSNBC propagandist Melissa Harris-Perry lisped in 2016,

“[W]e have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents, or kids belong to their families, and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.”

Yet when Joe Biden confirmed that this viewpoint is standard Democrat doctrine, the mendacious “fact-checkers” at PolitiFact seized on a technical error by the RNC to dispute it:

The Republican National Committee’s official Twitter account offered this caption:

“Biden to teachers: ‘They’re not somebody else’s children. They’re yours when you’re in the classroom.’”

… The RNC tweet includes the video that shows Biden saying “like” before “yours,” which changes the meaning of the sentence.

In isolation it would seem to. But before Biden said “like,” he repeatedly claimed ownership of other people’s children without using “like.” Here it is in context:

The broader context is that liberals have been shouting for decades that all children belong to them, to be indoctrinated and groomed as they see fit.
