Biden Turns to Venezuela

Despite the establishment casting Vladimir Putin in a 24/7 version of the Two Minutes Hate, the Biden Regime continues to import massive quantities of oil from Russia, funding his war effort. We wouldn’t need to do this if our rulers would take their boot off the neck of the domestic oil industry. They choose instead to find alternatives to Russia — namely, Russian allies that are no less tyrannical and hostile to the USA.

First it was Iran. Now senior American officials have been dispatched to the socialist dictatorship that serves Democrats as a role model, Venezuela:

In 2019, the United States broke off diplomatic relations with the socialist government of Nicolas Maduro due to allegations of electoral fraud. The Trump administration closed the American embassy in Venezuela and issued sanctions on Venezuelan oil exports and senior members of the country’s government.

The Trump Administration recognized Juan Guaido as the legitimate president of Venezuela. Looks like that’s out the window now.

This is spun as driving a wedge between Russia and Venezuela. Actually, it will drive another wedge between Americans and our own oil. Democrats hope they can display their reverence for the climate by showering money on Nicolas Maduro rather than allowing us to profit from our own resources.

On tips from Bluto and Mr. Freemarket.
