Brigitte Bardot Fined for Thoughtcrime for Sixth Time
Hats off to French former bombshell Brigitte Bardot, who has been fined for thoughtcrime for the sixth time. An iconic actress in the 50s and 60s, she is now an animal rights activist — but not a politically correct one:
Bardot was fined to the tune of €20,000 — approximately $23,100 — for calling native Indian Ocean islanders “savages.”
They must really be savage; otherwise, it would not be illegal to call them savages.
In 2019, Bardot … wrote a letter referring to the Reunionese — who inhabit the island La Reunion — as “natives who still have savage genes” in response to how they treat animals.
Her spokesman was also fined just for sharing the letter with the media.
In response to her statements, former Minister of Overseas Territories Annick Girardin wrote a letter to the actress stating, “Racism is not an opinion, it is a crime,” according to Le Figaro.
Or to be more specific, a thought crime. But you can say the worst things imaginable about Europeans. The authorities will praise you and shower you with grants.
On a tip from Wiggins.
