National Guard Occupying DC Hospitalized by Bad Food

The military occupation of our nation’s capital city continues, as does the absence of any reasonable explanation for it. Rep Steve Cohen has fretted that the soldiers may not follow Democrat orders, because too many of them are white. It doesn’t help that the Democrats running things have treated the troops poorly, forcing them to sleep in a parking garage during the dead of winter and now feeding them undercooked food laced with metal shavings:

A whistleblower is telling 7 Action News nearly 75 meals were thrown out Sunday after metal shavings were found, other meals showed up undercooked making soldiers sick.

A staff sergeant with the Michigan National Guard, whose identity 7 Action News is protecting, says the problem is not isolated.

At least 59 soldiers have been pulled from duty due to the effects of the bad food, some requiring hospitalization. What edible food they do get has been supplied in insufficient quantity.

How frightening it must be to depend on Big Government for food.

Profiles in Incompetence: Gina Raimondo

Suzan LeVine will feel right at home in the Biden Administration, which has emerged as a dumping ground for inept but demographically correct bureaucrats who fail upward. Gina Raimondo is another case in point:

Rhode Island was ranked among the top five worst places to do business in the U.S. during all four years Gina Raimondo, President Biden’s nominee for secretary of commerce, was governor.

Two of those years, Rhode Island ranked dead last in CNBC’s “America’s Top States for Business.”

WalletHub’s 2019 “Best & Worst States to Start a Business” report also put Rhode Island in last place.

It takes special talent to create a business climate worse than the single-party Democrat dystopias of California and New York.

CNBC cited consistent economic problems including the poor condition of state finances, outdated infrastructure, tax and regulation issues and slow economic growth as the reason behind Rhode Island’s ranking on its list.

That’s some résumé for secretary of commerce.

CNBC also named Rhode Island as having the worst infrastructure in the U.S. in July 2019 with a total score of 98 points out of 350, citing data from the DOT, Census Bureau and Environmental Protection Agency. CNBC found that more than half of the state’s roads were in “unacceptable condition,” and 22% of the state’s bridges were in “poor condition.”

With Biden’s handlers in charge, Rhode Island’s leadership can serve as a farm team for the federal government.

Profiles in Incompetence: Suzan LeVine

Our only hope is that Biden and the moonbats he surrounds himself with will be too incompetent to accomplish their goal of turning America into Venezuela. The appointment of Suzan LeVine is encouraging in this respect.

Although she is supposed to start today, it has been unclear what her actual title is. She will reportedly help states to manage jobless benefits. Fraud has been a major problem in that area.

LeVine has a qualification other than not being a white male. She used to be the Commissioner for the Washington State Employment Security Department.

As head of the ESD, her job was ostensibly to protect her state from fraud involving things like benefit payments. Instead, she lost $600 million to Nigerian scam artists. …

After that was revealed, Levine attempted to cover her own backside by refusing an audit to figure out what the heck happened. Her agency has been embattled and under investigation ever since. She also oversaw long delays during the pandemic in getting people benefits.

Yes, the Nigerian thing really happened. But here is her actual qualification to serve under the guy who personifies corrupt Big Government:

Levine and her husband gave $400,000 toward Biden’s election effort during the 2020 cycle.

Failing upward is easy in the Swamp, so long as you are a moonbat and you grease the right palms.

Big Government Follows Through on Big Tech Parler Attack

Even now, some fall for the argument that political censorship is okay so long as it imposed not by the government, but by a cartel of private companies. However, once it gains a foothold through public acceptance, authoritarianism won’t stay private for long.

The liberal establishment wants to destroy Parler for offering an alternative to leftist controlled, politically weaponized Twitter. Google and Apple inflicted damage by suppressing Parler’s app, then Amazon took it completely offline through its dominance of web services. But these broken kneecaps do not satisfy the totalitarian thugs comprising the Democrat Party. They want the power to destroy alternative voices directly, rather than through Big Tech cat’s paws. That’s why we read this:

Carolyn Maloney, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, is asking the FBI to conduct a “robust examination” of the role social media site Parler played in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, specifically whether the platform was a “potential facilitator” of planning or inciting the violence.

There is no reason to believe Parler played as large a role in planning the Capitol Riot as Facebook and Twitter. But Facebook and Twitter are solidly on the Democrat team.

Maloney, D-N.Y., in a letter to the FBI Thursday, requested that the FBI review whether Parler facilitated planning and questioned whether it is “a potential conduit for foreign governments who may be financing civil unrest in the United States.”

The gradual conversion of the FBI into a KGB-like tool of the Democrat Party got underway under Obama. Under the rule of the unprincipled Biden and his radicalized party, it will now go into overdrive.

As we saw when Nancy Pelosi and Hillary Clinton absurdly accused Trump of plotting with Putin to plan the Capitol Riot, the debunking of the Russian collusion hoax has not put an end to the Democrat tactic of accusing everyone they want to destroy of conspiring with the increasingly irrelevant Russians.

In her letter, Maloney went on to point to questions raised about “Parler’s financing and its ties to Russia.”

Whether Parler has meaningful ties to the Russian government is doubtful. Merely to get the idea out there is helpful to Democrats, so that people who are not paying attention will be left with the general impression that Parler schemed with Putin to attack the Capitol so of course it had to be crushed.

Maloney even went so far as to try to link Parler to Hamas through DDos-Guard, the Russian company Parler turned to for help getting back online after Amazon kicked it off the Internet for not being part of the Left-Wing Elite club. We no longer live in a country where a company associated with dissidents can easily find a web host.

John Brennan: Big Government Must Investigate Libertarians

People cut from the same cloth as Obama’s CIA director John Brennan will now take full control of the vast federal apparatus. They will use it to persecute people they regard as threatening. Libertarians, for example:

Rest easy. John Stossel will no longer menace America with Democrats in charge.

“Racists” who have failed to embrace the Black Lives Matter agenda, “bigots” who don’t want sexually disturbed boys watching their teenaged daughters shower, and “nativists” who want their country defended from foreign invasion will be investigated too.
