Silverberg, the head coach for Team Canada Powerlifting for more than 10 years, entered Saturday’s Heroes Classic tournament in Lethbridge, Alberta, after identifying as a female.

Silverberg came out wearing a beard and a standard men’s singlet.

He then casually bench-pressed nearly 370 pounds — beating the current Alberta women’s record by almost 100 pounds.

This would be a blow to women’s sports — except that the women’s record was already held by a man.

The current record — 275 pounds — is held by trans athlete Anne Andres, who was seen watching Silverberg while volunteering at the event. …

The trans lifter won eight of nine competitions entered in the women’s category over the last four years, ICONS [Independent Council on Women’s Sports] said.

Trans lifter “Anne” Andres does not fare as well when competing against other men.

As Silverberg broke her [sic] record, Andres stood off to the edge of the platform area, only strolling back on after the male lifter walked off.

Could it be that a transsexual athlete has discovered the concept of shame? Apparently not:

Andres posted a series of lengthy video responses calling [Silverberg] “a coward and a bigot” with “malicious intent.”

Actually, Silverberg’s intent was chivalrous. He was standing up for women:

ICONS said Silverberg “mocked the discriminatory [Canadian Powerlifting Union] policy” that allows competitors to register for events under their “gender identity and expression, rather than their sex or gender,” vowing “no consequences” for doing so.

But Andres did suffer a consequence. He was exposed as a contemptible jerk who has been ruining the sport for the legitimate competitors.

Athletes came to a fork in the road during the Black Lives Matter riots, and decided that they would rather kneel before their liberal elite paymasters by taking a knee to the lowlifes who were tearing down statues of George Washington than stand up for their country, decency, sanity, and self-respect. Even at the time, it would have taken courage to refuse to bow before leftism. Now that virtually every athlete has sold out, it takes such guts that Ivan Provorov inspires awe:

“I respect everybody’s choices,” Provorov told reporters, according to footage captured by Associated Press sportswriter Dan Gelston. “My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion.” He identified his faith as “Russian Orthodox.”

May God reward him.

Provorov moved from Russia to Pennsylvania at age 13. He has had plenty of time to imbibe the Kool-Aid that the rest of us are drowning in. But he stayed true.

Typical of pro sports, the Flyers hosted an elaborate extravaganza to promote homosexuality and transsexualism, which all players are expected to explicitly endorse.

[T]he Flyers hosted a “pre-game skate for local LGBTQ+ youth and officers from the Greater Philadelphia G.O.A.L. organization.” That organization advocates for “LGBTQ+ first responders and military members,” aiming to “educate first responders in LGBTQ+ competency” and “provide community outreach … between the LGBTQ+ public and first responder agencies.”

Flyers Charities presented the LGBT activist group with a $5,000 check and sold special Pride Night autographed mystery pucks for $35. The Wells Fargo Center also displayed rainbow colors during the game. The Flyers provided complimentary tickets for the game to nine LGBT groups, including the Philadelphia Gay Men’s Chorus, the William Way LGBTQ Community Center, and the Independence Business Alliance.

Yet Provorov withheld his endorsement of degeneracy, perversion, and mental illness.

Moonbats demand total conformity. The backlash from viciously “tolerant” liberals has been ferocious. Sports media predictably wants to crucify Provorov:

Liberals are furious because they know that one man’s courage can change a whole society, if others take inspiration from it.

Unelectable, backward-looking candidates (not opposition to abortion) caused the promised Red Wave to peter out. Republicans barely managed to retake the House, and struggled mightily just to elect a Speaker. But there is hope: Ron DeSantis.

DeSantis squeaked into office in 2018. He governed so well that in 2022, facing a more serious candidate than Andrew Gillum, he won in a landslide. He continues to take the moonbat establishment bull by the horns.

For example:

DeSantis wants public Florida universities to disclose all government funds spent toward programs, classes and other initiatives related to diversity, equity, inclusion and the teaching of critical race theory. …

‘We must ensure school systems are responsive to parents and to students, not partisan interest groups, and we must ensure that our institutions of higher learning are focused on academic excellence and the pursuit of truth, not the imposition of trendy ideology,’ he said.

DeSantis also insisted that Florida will remain ‘a great place to raise a family’.

That’s why so many escapees from Democrat-dominated states like New York head for the Sunshine State. As DeSantis puts it,

“States and cities governed by leftist politicians have seen crime skyrocket. They’ve seen their taxpayers abused, they’ve seen medical authoritarianism imposed, and they’ve seen American principles discarded. The woke agenda has caused millions of Americans to leave these jurisdictions for greener pastures.”

Like formerly purple Florida.

“Now, this great exodus of Americans, for those folks, Florida, for so many of them, has served as the promised land. We have embraced freedom. We have maintained law and order. We have protected the rights of parents. We have respected our taxpayers, and we reject woke ideology. We fight the woke in the legislature. We fight the woke in the schools. We fight the woke in the corporations. We will never, ever surrender to the woke mob. Florida is where woke goes to die.”

Echoing Churchill is appropriate. The modern Democratic Party and the radical ideology it seeks to impose represent an existential threat to our way of life.

Like the Allies on D-Day, DeSantis takes the fight to the enemy:

DeSantis has appointed conservative activist Christopher Rufo and five others to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees in his continuing move to eliminate “political ideology” from public higher education.

With the six new members of the school’s Board of Trustees, the DeSantis administration plans to weed out concepts like diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and critical race theory (CRT).

The highly esteemed countermoonbat Rufo has made a name for himself by exposing the demented excesses of wokeism.

Defending the country’s borders is a federal responsibility. Yet even here, DeSantis leads:

In response to the Biden administration’s alleged inability to manage a record number of migrants attempting to cross the southern border into the U.S. and anticipating a wave of migrant arrivals, DeSantis authorized state agencies to take emergency response measures Jan. 6, according to the order. The governor also authorized the National Guard to deploy “as needed, to deal with this emergency,” given that “the migration of unauthorized aliens to the State of Florida is likely to constitute a major disaster.”

Give DeSantis the authority and he would promptly stop the massive invasion that Democrats hope will transform America into a Third World country more fit for them to rule.

DeSantis even takes on the massive power of woke corporations:

Disney World’s self-governing power in Florida could be replaced with a state-run board under radical plans backed by Governor Ron DeSantis.

The overhaul – part of an ongoing row between Disney and state officials which began over the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill – would also force the company to pay $700 million dollars in unsecured debt that might otherwise have been paid by taxpayers.

To challenge the Disney dragon in the state it dominates takes true guts.

DeSantis turned Florida from purple to red. He might do the same for the whole nation, provided patriots rally behind him.

Twitter CEO Elon Musk released internal company documents through journalist Matt Taibbi about the company’s censorship of the Hunter Biden laptop story during the 2020 presidential election that showed that top officials at the company were in regular contact with Democrats and censored content that Democrats wanted removed.

One of the tweets published by Taibbi showed that Democrats flagged a tweet from Woods to be removed by the company.

Our Democratic Party/Big Tech overlords now have a tiger by the tail.

“I’ve been a target of these people for six years. They have destroyed my career,” Woods said. “They have destroyed my livelihood. They’ve destroyed my faith in this country that my family has defended in the military since the Revolutionary War.”

His family tradition continues. The Democrat attack is not only on dissidents like himself and noncompliant media outlets like the New York Post. To defend America is to defend the Constitution. Conspiring with Silicon Valley to censor political speech is a direct attack on it.

“I will be getting a lawyer. I will be suing the Democratic National Committee. No matter what, whether I win or lose, I am going to stand up for the rights of every American.”

Woods’ message to the corrupt, anti-American ruling class personified by Biden:

“The government of the United States conspired to take my free speech and throw it in the gutter. And there’s something that they should fear more than anything they have ever imagined in their wildest dreams. … I am not afraid of you. And I’m coming for you.”

There are still a lot of Americans left. They can’t cancel all of us. If we are not afraid, they will be, and for good reason.

The moonbat Mehmet Oz, selected possibly because Trump’s wife is a fan of his Oprah spinoff television show, managed to lose to a cognitively disabled radical leftist in purple Pennsylvania.

Other winnable races were lost by Trump candidates Doug Mastriano (PA), Tudor Dixon (MI), Don Bolduc (NH), and John Gibbs (MI).

Trump candidates may yet lose winnable races in Arizona and Georgia. Governor Doug Ducey was reelected by 14 points in 2018 and might have won the Senate race here in Arizona by even more against the mollusk Mark Kelly, but he couldn’t run because Trump doesn’t like him. Georgia was stuck with Hershel Walker because “Trump helped clear the primary field and other candidates opted out.”

So far, the only high-profile Trump candidate to win is J.D. Vance. Trump boasted that Vance was “kissing my ass.” Vance won anyway, pulled across the finish line by a $32 million cash infusion from Mitch McConnell’s Senate Leadership Fund. Prior to this, Vance was trailing in red Ohio.

Many of his policies were great, and Trump displays an admirable willingness to push back against the liberal establishment. But people resent him for feeding his own ego at the expense of all other concerns. His appeal outside his base has evaporated. He is unelectable at the national level.

The best election news came from Florida. Just a few years ago, Ron DeSantis beat ultraleft degenerate Andrew Gillum by less than half a percentage point. Since then, he has turned the state deep red. He won by nearly 20 points, right after Trump denounced him as “Ron DeSanctimonious” and threatened to dish dirt on him.

DeSantis is no mealy-mouthed RINO but an esteemed countermoonbat. He takes the bull by the horns in the Culture War, transforming Florida into the place “where woke goes to die.”

Dan Henninger makes a gloomy prediction:

If Mr. Trump announces next week that he’s running again, the 2024 presidential election ends that day. It guarantees a wipeout for Republicans.

Yet there is hope. The site Election Betting Odds currently gives DeSantis a 38.6% chance of securing the nomination to Trump’s 36.2%, and the gap is widening.

Trump sabotaged the Georgia runoff in 2021 by blaming party leaders for not overturning the 2020 election results, actually urging Republicans not to vote. This allowed Democrats to take control of the Senate, then inflict $trillions of damage on the economy through wasteful spending and put leftist kook Ketanji Brown Jackson on the Supreme Court. Now he has tripped up the GOP in the midterms, sparing Democrats the stern rebuke they had coming. He is the Democratic Party’s most valuable asset.

The options are obvious. We can go with DeSantis and win, or we can go with Trump and lose.

The 76-year-old Trump had his chance to drain the Swamp. Let Ron DeSantis have his.

Gabbard has indulged in moonbattery in past, going so far as to endorse the odious leftists Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden. To her credit, she has been denounced by the psychotic Keith Olbermann as a “Russian asset,” and the harpies of The View have called for her imprisonment for thoughtcrime.

“I’m calling on my fellow common sense independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that the so-called “woke” Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me.”

Anyone who can stomach this direction deserves to be part of what the Democratic Party has become under the leadership of leftist lunatics. The rest are encouraged to heed her call.
