The nuclear family is the building block of civilization. This is why leftists from Karl Marx to Black Lives Matter have openly aspired to destroy it.

The tip of the spear in the leftist attack on the nuclear family is LGBTism. Gay marriage is not about gays; it is about destroying marriage by reducing it to farce.

Liberal establishmentarians demand we revere LGBT depravity because it serves their purposes. Fortunately, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is pushing back on behalf of decency and sanity.

Lee has signed a resolution designating June, which has been nationally recognized as Pride Month since 1999, as “Nuclear Family Month” in Tennessee.

The amendment says it defines a nuclear family as one “consisting of one husband, one wife, and any biological, adopted, or fostered children,” saying such a family “is God’s design for familial structure and has been the bedrock of society since the creation of the world.”

The preservation of the nuclear family most immediately benefits children:

The amendment goes on to cite risks of “fatherless families,” stating that children who grow up without fathers or in homes where their parents are not together are more likely to experience poverty, abuse chemical substances, have mental health and behavioral issues and end up incarcerated.

Liberals are blowing gaskets — the surest sign something good is happening. The groomers* at GLAAD absurdly yet unsurprisingly claim this hurts families:

“Lawmakers trying to exclude and intentionally harm some families should be recognized as actively harming all by not focusing their time working for an inclusive Tennessee where all are welcome and can succeed.”

The message is tediously familiar: LGBT deviants declare themselves to be victims so we must let them have their way, including with children.

Kudos to Bill Lee for standing up to them.
