No wonder the media hyped Covid hysteria so enthusiastically. There was big money in it:

A former Emmy-nominated TV news anchor convicted in a billion-dollar COVID fraud scheme sent a scandalous text to her partner in crime that joked about cheating the taxpayers.

Stephanie Hockridge-Reis, who worked for a local station in Phoenix [ABC affiliate KNXV aka ABC15] before becoming a fintech entrepreneur, sent the message to her husband, Nathan Reis, after applying for Payment Protection Program (PPP) loans during the height of the pandemic.

Fintech entrepreneurs who let greed get the better of them might be tempted to innovate new means to exploit the marathon spending spree in Washington that continues even now, though at long last there are indications that it may wind down prior to financial collapse.

She texted her husband,

“This is us trying to apply for free money — when we don’t quite qualify. lol.”

The couple was accused of fraudulently obtaining over $300,000 in PPP loans for themselves, including one application that falsely claimed he was a veteran and an African American.

To maximize freebies, it helps to be “oppressed.”

The two named their fintech firm — which processed more than $12.5 billion in PPP loans — Blueacorn, calling to mind the moonbat echo chamber Bluesky as well as ActBlue, the primary Democrat fundraising platform, which is under investigation for widespread fraud. Steer clear of anything with “blue” in its name.

The point of the PPP loan program was to alleviate damage to small businesses caused by Covid tyranny. It set taxpayers back nearly $1 TRILLION, costing $4 for every $1 in “saved” jobs, driving up inflation and the national debt. Yet again, Big Government’s solution to a problem caused by Big Government caused more problems.

Maybe the media and the rest of the left-wing Powers That Be could have recovered some credibility if they had apologized profusely after inflicting Covid hysteria/tyranny and allowing Biden’s handlers to take power by suppressing and lying about the bombshell Hunter laptop revelations that made it obvious the Big Guy was unfit for office. The same goes for pretending career criminal fentanyl overdoser George Floyd was murdered, then promoting Black Lives Matter riots and crippling local law enforcement. It might even have helped if they had designated a few sacrificial goats to take the blame.

Instead, smug in their contempt for us, they assumed that if they didn’t mention these turning points, we would no more remember them than a goldfish remembers previous trips around the fishbowl. As always, liberals were wrong.

Sanity Cuts No ICE With Shrill Moonbat on CNN

Whereas countermoonbats want to give bonuses to the ICE agents who defend the country from foreign invasion, liberals have been trying to get them killed. When Scott Jennings pointed this out to a CNN panel, he was told that ICE agents are like the Gestapo and that violence against them is justified:

It would be difficult to overstate the malevolence of hardcore moonbats like Jennings’s interlocutor, CNN contributor Anahit “Ana” Kasparian. Despite being born in Los Angeles, she learned English by watching Sesame Street. The pernicious influence of PBS on developing minds may also be difficult to overstate.

If Anahit’s justification for violence against ICE agents sounds familiar, you might be thinking of the similar rhetoric Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) used to excuse the assassination of healthcare executives.

She-moonbats are not the kindliest creatures.

CNN Admits: Trump Promised, Trump Is Delivering

Liberals don’t hate Trump because he’s a lousy president. They hate him because he is turning out to be a highly successful one. What he promised, he has been delivering, prominently including a secure border, tax cuts, and cuts to wasteful spending.

CBS Mornings Frets About Colonization of Moon

CBS Mornings host Vladimir Duthiers is worried about the colonization of the moon. He’s apparently concerned about how colonization will affect the indigenous population there. … Duthiers said he remembers what the ‘Age of Colonization’ did to Earth and fears what it could mean to our orbiting lunar neighbor.

Colonization is a term for the spread of Western Civilization that liberals use as a pejorative. Presumably they would be more comfortable living in the wretched hellhole that was the world before Europeans lifted it from savagery.

Neil deGrasse Tyson brought the discussion back down to earth by pointing out that there are no little green men on the moon. When this kook is the voice of relative reason, you know you are neck-deep in the moonbat fever swamps.

Jim Acosta Applies Moonbattery to Necromancy

Only one moonbat could drag journalism to a more disgraceful depth than Jim Acosta during his stint as CNN’s White House correspondent — namely, Jim Acosta:

Acosta was slammed on social media after he posted a clip of his “interview” with an artificially animated avatar of deceased teenager Joaquin Oliver to promote a gun control message on Monday.

The teenage Joaquin Oliver was killed in the Parkland shootings 7 years ago. But his memory lives on in the form of an avatar programmed to spew moonbattery in support of leftist ideology.

Even the libs on BlueSky are disgusted. Feedback for Acosta includes comments like:

“Wow. It’s hard to accept that no one around you suggested that this was probably in the worst possible taste.”

“‘I’ll have a one-of-a-kind interview with Joaquin Oliver’ no you won’t, you’re talking to a glorified answering machine message you dingbat.”

“The bar is in hell, and you still managed to trip on it.”

Acosta’s ghoulish farce of an interview was aptly characterized as a “grotesque puppet show.”

The deluge of contempt might have washed even Acosta’s ego away, but he took protective measures:

On X, Acosta disabled users that weren’t followed by him from commenting on his posts, which some users on the social media site linked to the backlash he was receiving from the “interview” with Oliver.

There may be a lower lifeform than left-wing journalists, but science has yet to discover it.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting–which funds NPR and PBS–is shutting down, it announced on Friday.

NPR and PBS are among the most pernicious pillars of the liberal media. That people who regard these propaganda platforms with repugnance have been forced to finance them is an outrage.

This follows the Congress voting to cut the funding for the CPB.

Elections matter.

Now the moonbats who have a use for them can pay for PBS and NPR — which they are perfectly capable of doing.

CNN Calls Shane Tamura “Possibly White”

A black-looking black guy who turns out to be part Asian walks into an office building in Midtown Manhattan and murders four people. How do you suppose CNN would report it? Here’s how:

In the photos first shared online, [Shane] Tamura, 27, was captured in broad daylight walking into 345 Park Ave. with a Palmetto State Armory AR-15 rifle in his hand.

[CNN anchor Erin] Burnett said police knew the gunman had “sunglasses, mustache, male, possibly white” during a broadcast shortly after the shooting Monday evening.

Before we knew anything else, we knew that Tamura was not white. The picture that was immediately available made that obvious. Yet the reflex to lie on behalf of their malicious ideology is irrepressible for the propagandists comprising the liberal media establishment, even when the truth is already out there.

Media Whimpers Over Alligator Alcatraz Merch

Eugene, Oregon is hosting the festive Lane County Fair through today. Local media takes this as an opportunity to gripe about Alligator Alcatraz merchandise:

Social media is buzzing with disapproval and anger over T-shirts being sold that depict Alligator Alcatraz. This makeshift immigration detention facility was established by the Trump administration in the Florida Everglades and has been criticized by human rights groups as cruel and inhumane.

They could put up the worst of the worst criminal foreign invaders in luxury hotels (as is often done with illegal aliens) and still leftist “human rights groups” would snivel. Anything short of formal capitulation to the invasion is “cruel and inhumane.”

“Honestly it’s kind of sad,” said Jasper Burchard, a concerned fairgoer. “It’s really sad to see something so messed up just being paraded around like it’s something fun.

What really is sad is sulking liberal scolds. Have fun at the fair, Oregonians, and don’t forget to buy some Alligator Alcatraz merchandise; it’s guaranteed to annoy moonbats.

Sunny Hostin Calls for More Violence Against ICE

Democrats’ terroristic campaign against ICE agents to punish them for defending the country from foreign invasion by enforcing immigration law is spinning out of control. Windshields of ICE vehicles are smashed with large rocks — while agents are driving them. Agents are ambushed. Guns are fired at them. Law enforcement officers are getting shot.

The liberal media wants more:

Sunny Hostin of ABC’s infernal women’s gossip show turned TDS rage-fest, ‘The View’ intimated Friday that it is excusable for deranged leftists to violently attack ICE agents. …

Hostin appeared to be proclaiming that because ICE agents are wearing masks during raids to arrest illegal aliens, it’s somehow justifiable to attack them.

They wear masks so that leftist terrorists egged on by the likes of Sunny Hostin will not target them and their families. This frustrates liberals, who apparently feel that only Antifa scum and Mexican nationals setting fire to cars in Los Angeles should be allowed to wear masks.

The terrorist cheerleader barks that “there will be a reckoning” against law enforcement:

If even a prominent senator would react to the murder of a health insurance executive by calling for more, how would you expect the wicked magpies of The View to respond to violence against ICE agents?

It is appalling that progressives have reduced this to a country where law enforcement is compelled to wear masks. But at least the mask is off regarding the liberal establishment.
