When I saw the headline, I thought it was a zinger from the Babylon Bee:

But parody cannot keep pace with reality when it comes to moonbats. The story is from Fox News:

Nexstar Media Group announced Wednesday it would continue to preempt late-night host Jimmy Kimmel from its ABC affiliate stations after Disney lifted his suspension following his controversial comments about the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Characteristic of the unrepentent Kimmel, the “controversial comments” consisted of the vile lies that Charlie Kirk was killed by a fellow conservative and that Donald Trump did not grieve his death.

Brace yourself for Grand Canyon-scale cognitive dissonance — or to put it less charitably, hypocrisy:

“Decisions about what Americans watch shouldn’t be dictated by political pressure,” [Bernie] Sanders wrote on X. “Nexstar must immediately restore Jimmy Kimmel to viewers in Vermont and across the U.S. Broadcasters should not cave in to an authoritarian-type president who can’t accept criticism.”

Decisions about what Americans watch should not be dictated by political pressure, so do what the senator tells you and air his leftist ally, even if it is an insult to your audience. Submit to the Marxist-Leninist, or else you are caving in to authoritarianism.

Bernie ought to be careful trying to dictate speech by bullying. What goes around, comes around:

Remember when censorship was regarded as so cool among the liberal establishment that the sitting president was barred from social media to prevent him from communicating with the public? Jimmy Kimmel loved it:

Now that Kimmel has gotten himself canned by ABC for alienating the public by telling vile lies, we are told that Trump is censoring him and that censorship is bad.

Note that Kimmel was also pleased about Parler being taken offline because conservatives used it to communicate. His love of free speech is newfound.

In the wake of the leftist bomb thrower Jimmy Kimmel losing his megaphone, the same sort of liberals who celebrated the sitting President of the United States being banned from social media so that he could not reach the public and Parler being taken down because conservatives used it to communicate have suddenly discovered a love of the First Amendment. A student’s reaction to Charlie Kirk’s assassination suggests what they actually think of free speech:

“We need to bring back political assassinations,” said Julia Xu in a social media post, where her handle is @bringbacktheguillotine.

“I don’t feel bad and I don’t think that everyone deserves the right to free speech. Some people should be afraid to express their opinion in public.”

Xu, who grew up in Connecticut, is a second-year student at Oberlin College in Ohio majoring in politics and international affairs…

Xu is on the advisory board of campus group the Gender, Sexuality and Attraction Initiatives, an office that supports queer, trans and women’s programming at the school.

The assassination of Kirk appears to be tied to LGBTism.

Xu, who uses they/them pronouns, is also a member of Students for a Free Palestine.

Buy into any moonbattery and you get the whole package.

As for people who don’t like it that Kirk was murdered,

“The worst thing that was said in that class was that it was a shame that Charlie Kirk died because he was such a huge figure in the right-wing movement and now, who will be left to debate?” said Xu.

“Now there’s no one left to have productive conversations with … Of course, everyone saying this, they were all male students. There were four or five male students … it just shows that white men will always empathize with the people who look like them.”

Charlie Kirk’s mourners are racists and sexists, according to the ideology college students marinate in.

Some worry that FCC Chairman Brandan Carr invited Democrat retaliation against our right of free speech by suggesting that ABC was in violation of the conditions for a broadcast license when it provided a platform for Kimmel’s malicious, deliberate lies. But Democrats have already made clear that they will suppress dissent to the furthest extent they are able. They implicitly support Charlie Kirk’s murder because it sums up their preferred policy toward those with whom they disagree.

Abortion entails the sacrifice of the most innocent people alive to the lifestyle and ideology of degenerates. So sacred is it to the moonbats ruling Europe that UK’s House of Commons just voted overwhelmingly to decriminalize killing viable babies for any reason up to the moment of birth. In European countries where decay is most advanced, opposition to abortion is increasingly not allowed:

Last week, a young Dutch woman was arrested outside an abortion clinic in Utrecht in the Netherlands. Thirty-five weeks pregnant herself, she had offered leaflets to two people; one took a brochure, the other declined. The police arrived and, without evidence, arrested the woman on fictitious allegations of “disturbing the peace.”

This is hardly the only example from Holland:

Dirkje de Ruiter, for example, was arrested last year outside a clinic in Utrecht before she had even passed out a single leaflet; the police informed her that, despite doing nothing illegal, her mere presence constituted “disorder.”

When it comes to the war on children, Belgium is no better:

In Brussels earlier this month, Lois McLatchie of the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) and Chris Elston, the anti-trans ideology activist known to his social media followers as “Billboard Chris,” were arrested, strip-searched, and detained for hours by police merely for holding signs reading “Children Are Never Born In The Wrong Body” and “Children Cannot Consent To Puberty Blockers.” Their signs were destroyed. They were charged with no crime.

Then there is formerly great Britain, where…

…pro-lifers have been arrested for the thought crime of silent prayer so frequently that the Trump administration took the extraordinary step in March of sending “a team of U.S. officials to the UK to investigate concerns over freedom of speech restrictions,” according to GB News.

As the nickname of Two-Tier Keir Starmer suggests, leftists do not apply their authoritarianism equitably:

Abortion activists threaten peaceful pro-life events across the continent, frequently engaging in actual violence and harassment, but are rarely disturbed by police.

What some call “liberalism,” others call “anarchotyranny.” It is not a force for good.

A statement on the official GOV.UK website describes ‘Extreme right-wing’ ideology as terrorism, before going on to list three sub-categories.

The three horseman of the right-wing apocalypse are “cultural nationalism,” “white/ethno-nationalism,” and “white supremacism” — left-wing framing of views that until recently any Briton would have held.

A Home Office spokesman said: ‘Prevent is not about restricting debate or free speech, but about protecting those susceptible to radicalisation.’

Leftists don’t want to oppress you. They only want to protect you from incorrect thoughts.

Each year, thousands of teachers, police officers, health workers and other staff undergo Prevent training.

Agents of the State have a duty to enforce its ideology.

The leftists who are eradicating Britain have good reason to demonize frogs who might tell other frogs that the water is coming to a boil. It might not be too late for the country to save itself.

CBC Shuts Down Opposition YouTube Channel

Eventually, we have to choose between state-affiliated media and free speech. The former is fundamentally hostile to the latter. Consider Canada:

A Canadian YouTube channel that was dominating the platform during the country’s recent election has vanished, after the state-funded Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reached out to the social media giant, and branded it a ‘content farm’ in a Friday hit-piece.

The term “content farm” can be used to denigrate information platforms that liberals want to silence for committing misinformation/disinformation by failing to comply with the leftist viewpoint.

The channel, “Real Talk Politiks,” had over 300,000 subscribers and more than 70 million views in the month of April, according to ViewStats.com – making it the third-most viewed Canadian news and politics channel over the past three months.

That’s why it had to be silenced, lest future elections not turn out as well for leftists as last April.

Public broadcasting is not just an irritating misuse of taxpayer money. It is a tool by which authoritarian leftists replace free speech with the official narrative.

Dystopian Future Is Now for WNBA Fans

Those rare persons who follow the WNBA are advised to watch what they say:

The league announced a new initiative titled “No Space for Hate”…

“As part of the comprehensive plan, the WNBA is rolling out an AI-powered technology solution to monitor social media activity, in partnership with players and teams, to help protect the community from online hate speech and harassment,” the announcement read.

“Hate speech and harassment” are comprised of communication favored groups choose to be offended by.

A revised WNBA fan code of conduct includes regulations for fans on social media, and threats of sanctioning those fans from official content if they are violated. The new policy lists racist, homophobic, sexist, sexual, threatening or libelous content as “subject to blocking or deletion.”

“Repeat violations of these guidelines may result in the violator no longer being able to follow our news, comment on our posts or send us messages,” the policy reads.

When similar people achieve control of the Internet, similar systems will be applied to all online speech.
