Big Green Fire Down Under

What could be greener than recycling the sort of batteries that are used in electric cars? Nine News reports on a green environmental disaster in a suburb of Perth, Australia:

The blaze broke out at a lithium battery recycling facility in Maddington on Sunday, sparking a hazmat warning for the area…

Days later, this warning is still in place.

If residents are experiencing symptoms, it’s recommended to shelter indoors and close windows.

Such fires are increasingly common. From the ABC:

DFES [Department of Fire and Emergency Services] chief superintendent for Metro South Scott Hares said … that DFES had responded to 63 lithium battery fires so far this year — around four per week.

Electric car batteries are so prone to bursting into flames that Chevy Bolt owners were advised not to park them in garages or near other vehicles. A major cargo carrier has refused to ship them. Drivers have been cremated alive. The fires are notoriously difficult to extinguish and sometimes reignite.

But at least the climate won’t hold the smoke from these fires against us, because it will know that we meant well.

Lamborghini Backs Away From EV Lunacy

Electric cars are the future, bark the moonbats. The free market is canceling that future.

Via Slay News:

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann told the UK’s The Sunday Times that the company has ended plans to build fully electric vehicles. …

Winkelmann noted that the “acceptance curve” for EVs in Lamborghini’s market segment was flattening and “close to zero.”

EVs are expensive to buy and maintain, likely to burst into flames, unreliable, inefficient, inconvenient to charge, dangerous to transport, worse for the environment than regular cars, and apt to cremate drivers alive. Other than that, what’s not to like?

Lamborghini is not alone. Over the past 6 months, a long list of automakers have announced they are backing away from EV insanity, including Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Stellantis, Volkswagen, and Volvo.

No matter how lavish the coercively financed government subsidies, EVs do not make economic sense. No wonder liberals hate capitalism. Under Marxism, economics don’t have to make sense, because Big Government can always confiscate or print more money.

Winkelmann also said Lamborghini intends to continue producing gas-powered internal combustion engines “for as long as possible.”

That is, until liberals achieve the enough power to ban proper automobiles entirely, as they intend to do.

Charlotte’s First EV Fire Truck Does Not Work

Another historic first: moonbat-ruled Charlotte has its first electric fire truck. It is turning out as you might expect.

Via WSOC-TV:

A little more than a month after the Charlotte Fire Department held a ceremony celebrating the city’s first all-electric fire station and fire truck, the city’s electric fire truck is in the shop.

It cost taxpayers $1.9 million. That’s about twice what it would cost for a similarly sized real fire truck that would actually work. But think how much cooler the weather will be due to the reduction in harmless CO2 emissions.

Fortunately,

A reserve engine is in service to ensure an uninterrupted response.

Good thing, because EVs are not known for their reliability. They often do not work in cold weather such as Charlotte has recently experienced.

Similarly, fossil fuel plants must be ready to step in when solar and wind turbine boondoggles fail to provide sufficient power, until such a time as the global warming hoax finally collapses.

Burnt Offerings

If we are to propitiate the angry climate, we must make certain sacrifices — like the occasional school bus driver.

Via KTLA:

An electric school bus burst into flames in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, prompting a massive emergency response and shutting down a stretch of the 210 Freeway in Sylmar, authorities said.

The oversized moonbatmobile burst into flames as it went under an overpass at 9:20 a.m.

Sky5 was over the scene as heavy flames and thick black smoke poured from the fully involved bus.

The driver was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Fortunately, there were no kids on board this time.

Let’s hope the climate is pleased.

Cremated Alive in EV

To the many reasons to avoid electric vehicles (e.g., they are more expensive, less reliable, inefficient, inconvenient to charge, unhealthy, and worse for the environment), we can add this: So as not to be cremated alive:

A Tesla owner was burned alive in his Cybertruck after the stainless-steel beast erupted in a 5,000-degree inferno so intense it caused his bones to disintegrate, according to a wrongful death lawsuit filed in Texas.

Michael Sheehan, 47, bought the futuristic pickup in April 2024. Just three months later on Aug. 3, the truck veered off-road, slammed into a culvert and burst into flames near Beach City, around 30 miles east of Houston.

The raging fire trapped Sheehan inside the vehicle as the batteries powering the $100,000 SUV went into catastrophic failure, court filings say. …

Months later, three college students in California were burned to death in another Cybertruck wreck.

The good news is that 10 years from now, no one will drive electric vehicles, because they do not make sense. Once the future Democrats had hoped to impose by force has been canceled, drivers will be safer.

Major Cargo Carrier Refuses EVs

Another nail has been hammered into the coffin of liberals’ beloved EVs:

Matson Inc., a major ocean cargo carrier in the trans-Pacific trade, announced this week that they have decided to stop carrying electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles on their ships, effective immediately.

They have good reason:

[T]here have been three especially severe EV fires on cargo ships in just the past three years: the Felicity Ace in 2022, the Fremantle Highway in 2023, and most recently, the Morning Midas in 2025, each fire destroying thousands of vehicles each along with much or all of the vessels.

Crew has been killed in these fire. Entire ships along with their cargo have been lost.

Real cars burst into flames too — but only due to collision or arson, not virtually spontaneously, on mere exposure to water.

Worse, once an electric car’s massive lithium battery catches fire, that fire is often impossible to put out; these vehicles burn for days, consuming not just the car but everything nearby, from parking garage to cargo ship.

For obvious reasons, cars need to be water resistant. Since EVs are not, they are unsafe — in addition to being more expensive, less reliable, inefficient, inconvenient to charge, unhealthy, and worse for the environment. To sum up, they are inferior in every way.

Electric cars were the future, when Democrats were in a position to impose them by force. But they aren’t the future anymore.

Democrats Spend $19.5 Million per EV Charging Port

Trust Democrats with public money and here’s what happens:

Fewer than 400 electric vehicle chargers were built with $7.5 billion in federal infrastructure funding, which comes out to more than $19 million per charger, a non-partisan watchdog agency found.

To be exact, 384 charging ports were built at 68 stations, at a cost of $19,531,250 per charging port.

Funding for the construction of the chargers was drawn from the $7.5 billion allocated to the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program (NEVI) and Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Discretionary Grant Program (CFI), which were approved as part of President Biden’s $1.2 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

A few RINOs went along with virtually all Democrats to pass the looting spree masquerading as an infrastructure law.

The taxpayers who financed this will have three questions:

1. Where did the money go?
2. When do we get it back?
3. When do criminals like Biden start going to prison for stealing vast sums of our money?

The answers:

1. The ether.
2. Never.
3. Not soon enough.

Not enraged yet? Then get a load of this reason more stations weren’t built:

Shortly after taking office, [Biden] signed an executive order mandating that the beneficiaries of 40 percent of all federal climate and environmental programs should come from “underserved communities.”

Stealing tens of $billions in the name of climate hogwash didn’t signal enough virtue, so they had to make it about bestowing other people’s money upon favored identity groups.

Jaguar Pulls Ahead of Bud Light in Race to Oblivion

It was previously reported that Jaguar lagged behind Bud Light. But having thrown moonbattery into overdrive, it soon pulled ahead:

Jaguar sales in Europe plunged a shocking 97.5% following a botched rebrand that included a commercial featuring men in skirts to announce its upcoming pivot toward an all-electric fleet…

The luxury British automaker registered just 49 vehicles in Europe in April, compared with 1,961 vehicles in the same month last year, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association.

Sales between January and April plummeted 75.1%, with just 2,665 cars sold across the continent.

Don’t expect the company to pull a 180° when it finally manages to get its flagship $200,000 four-door EV into dealerships late in the year.

Who would have guessed that ads like the one below did not inspire people to blow a fortune on a Jaguar?

Electric vehicles and pushily diverse nonbinary creepiness were supposed to be the future. Fortunately, the future social engineers planned for us has been canceled.
