Duke Lacrosse Accuser Finally Comes Clean

It took a while, but Crystal Mangum has finally come clean:

Former stripper and convicted murderer Crystal Mangum admitted Thursday that she lied and “made up a story” that three Duke University lacrosse players raped her at a team party in 2006.

“They trusted me that I wouldn’t betray their trust, and I testified falsely against them by saying that they raped me when they didn’t, and that was wrong,” [Mangum] told the independent media outlet Let’s Talk With Kat at the North Carolina Correctional Institution for Women.

“[I] made up a story that wasn’t true.”

Mangum was not the only one to victimize Duke lacrosse players David Evans, Collin Finnerty, and Reade Seligmann:

The case garnered national attention and the tension was fueled when former Durham County district attorney Mike Nifong said in a March 2006 interview with CBS News that “there’s no doubt a sexual assault took place” and that the assault was “racially motivated.”

Congratulations to Crystal Mangum for turning to God and asking forgiveness. Now let’s see the politically driven Nifong do the same.

The North Carolina State Bar disbarred Nifong in June 2007 for lying in court and withholding DNA evidence that would have helped absolve the defendants.

Duke also has plenty to apologize for, after reflexively siding with Mangum against the innocent players. By now there have been enough hate hoaxes that this reflex is inexcusable. Yet it persists in academia.

SPLC Disinformation and Extremist Manipulation

Demasculinizing, homosexualizing, and transsexualizing youth are central objectives of the liberal establishment. The hate group Southern Poverty Law Center advances them:

Young people are particularly vulnerable to gender- and sexuality-based disinformation and extremist manipulation.

So far, true enough. Telling children they can and should let themselves be transformed into members of the opposite sex would better be described as a grotesque and evil lie than “disinformation,” but the term “extremist manipulation” is certainly apt for what takes place in public schools.

Except that SPLC is from liberal upside-down world. When these groomers complain about extremist manipulation, they mean “resistance to extremist manipulation.”

An example of a bigoted belief would be that boys are boys, not girls. To be “harmed” by those who hold them is to be exposed to such viewpoints.

To liberal social engineers, children’s minds are a battlefield. Everyone knows what a battlefield looks like after the smoke clears. But as the abortion movement makes clear, kids are regarded as expendable.

Trudeau’s Lame Retaliation Against Trump

In his characteristically slithery way, metrosexual moonbat Justin Trudeau is striking back at Trump for trolling him as the governor of the 51st state.

From Canada’s state-affiliated media:

“We were supposed to be on a steady, if difficult, march towards progress. And yet, just a few weeks ago, the United States voted for a second time to not elect its first woman president,” Trudeau said, adding that “women’s rights and women’s progress” are “under attack.”

By “women’s rights and women’s progress,” he appears to mean abortion.

The comments could be interpreted as a thinly veiled swipe at U.S. president-elect Donald Trump. In his first term, Trump appointed Supreme Court justices who were intent on overturning abortion jurisprudence — something they ultimately did with the Dobbs vs. Jackson Women’s Health decision.

Careful with the swiping, Justin. You don’t want to go into a battle of wits unarmed.

It is doubtful that Trudeau will turn over his job to a woman — or even that he can define one.

Liberals Discover the Word “Kakistocracy”

Among the ways Trump’s election has already made America a better place, it has expanded the vocabulary of moonbats. The Biden Administration has given this site many opportunities to use the word “kakistocracy.” Now that kakistocrats have been voted out of power, moonbats have discovered the word.

Clarence Page specifically cites Elon Musk and Pete Hegseth as the sort of people who might staff a kakistocracy, while also getting in a dig against the great Calvin Coolidge.

The Economist has proclaimed it the Word of the Year:

Which word can capture the mix of surprise, excitement and trepidation people feel as the MAGA movement returns to power?

“Kakistocracy,” we are told — following an administration led and staffed by unsavory characters.

Even insufferably pretentious liberal elitists sometimes have a clue as to what is going on outside of their insular bubble of wokeness:

[M]any of [Trump’s] supporters are delighted, seeing in his appointments a wrecking crew to pull down a deep state they loathe.

The Economist has managed to get that much right. As for its use of the word “kakistocracy,” it makes sense when you consider that liberals live in upside-down world, where everything is called its opposite, as in Orwell.

Google Ad Is Belligerently Woke

In the olden days, advertising attempted to generate a positive attitude toward the product or service being advertised, so as to increase the customer base. Then political correctness got out of control. Now, the purpose is often to make potential customers gag with revulsion by ramming wokeness down their throats. As usual, Google is at the forefront of corporate moonbattery:

The tech giant produced a Christmas ad for its shopping aggregator featuring self proclaimed ‘nonbinary’ TikTok influencer Cyrus Veyssi prancing around in women’s clothing, mincing on about skin creams.

Evidently Google isn’t worried about losing customers, due to the effective monopoly position that makes the odious company virtually impossible to avoid. This would beg the question, why bother to advertise — if we didn’t know that the entire objective is to subject us to moonbattery.

Elizabeth Warren’s Call for More Blood

It isn’t just screwballs like Taylor Lorenz from the liberal establishment media. Even a Democrat Senator excuses murdering people for being health insurance executives in the name of Marxist ideology. Like White House spokesmoonbat Cringe Jean-Pierre, Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has issued a dutiful left-handed condemnation of the murder of Brian Thompson. Warren’s crosses the line into an effective call for more blood.

“Violence to combat any sort of corporate greed is unacceptable,” says Cringe, framing the murder in the Marxist context of “corporate greed” — as if the government that confiscates our money hand over fist and won’t even defend the border in return is less greedy than a company providing people with health insurance on a voluntary basis.

Fauxcahontas goes farther. “Violence is never the answer, but people can be pushed only so far,” she told HuffPost, then ominously added:

“This is a warning that if you push people hard enough, they lose faith in the ability of their government to make change, lose faith in the ability of the people who are providing the health care to make change, and start to take matters into their own hands in ways that will ultimately be a threat to everyone.”

She made similar remarks on MSNBC:

“Violence is never the answer. This guy [Luigi Mangione] gets a trial who’s allegedly killed the CEO of UnitedHealth[care], but you can only push people so far, and then they start to take matters into their own hands.”

She implies that her fellow moonbats should commit murder not only because the health care system has flaws, but also because Big Government has not been able to “make change” — the result of people voting the wrong way.

One reason we don’t vote the way Warren wants is that she has helped expose the evil at the heart of the Democratic Party. Notes Charles C. W. Cooke,

It was Warren’s lurch into extremism that inspired Kamala Harris to adopt many of the positions she promulgated in 2019 — positions that Harris struggled to shed during this year’s presidential election. And it was the coterie of Warren-inspired White House staffers who successfully seized the moderate Joe Biden after his winning 2020 campaign and transformed him into a myopically left-wing president whom a majority of Americans came to loathe. It should perhaps have been obvious that Warren was a crank when she started tweeting out sentiments such as, “Black trans and cis women, gender-nonconforming, and nonbinary people are the backbone of our democracy” without having first been threatened with waterboarding. But if it was not clear then, the consequences of her influence have now made the indictment clear. Warren is a disaster for her party, a disaster for America, and a disaster for the basic human decency that we are entitled to expect from our politicians…

Unfortunately, Warren is no outlier. The Democratic Party has effectively embraced Marxism. Marxists kill people; it’s what they do.
