Of all the disgraces history will curse Biden for, the most infuriating may be his betrayal of US troops serving in Afghanistan. His treatment of their survivors has been appalling:

The emotional testimony this week by the families of the 13 U.S. service members killed during President Biden’s chaotic military withdrawal in Afghanistan has cast renewed scrutiny on the president’s past treatment of Gold Star families. …

The U.S. military evacuation, which required thousands of additional U.S. troops on the ground and significant cooperation from the Taliban to complete, ended a day ahead of deadline on Aug. 30, 2021, leaving behind hundreds of U.S. citizens and tens of thousands of Afghan allies despite Biden’s promise days earlier to “get them all out.”

By “evacuation,” they mean unconditional surrender to the sandal-wearing savages who provided Al Qaeda the base from which to launch 9/11.

There has been no accountability, despite the Americans killed or abandoned, and despite the $billions worth of military equipment paid for by Americans and gifted by Biden to the Taliban.

“We were told lies, given incomplete reports, incorrect reports, total disrespect,” [Gold Star mother Kelly] Barnett said. “I was told to my face [son Staff Sergeant Taylor Hoover] died on impact. That’s not true. The only reason that I know this is because witnesses told me the truth. I was lied to and basically told to shut up.”

Shana Chappell, mother of Lance Corporal Kareem Nikoui, sounded off on Facebook about a meeting with Biden:

“You tried to interrupt me and give me your own sob story and I had to tell you, ‘This isn’t about you so don’t make it about you!’” Chappell wrote. “You then said you just wanted me to know that you know how I feel and I let you know that you don’t know how I feel and you do not have the right to tell me you know how I feel! You then rolled your f— eyes in your head like you were annoyed with me and I let you know that the only reason I was talking to you was out of respect for my son.”

Far from accepting meaningful responsibility for the debacle, Biden wouldn’t even stop looking at his watch as the corpses of Americans he had gotten killed were returned:

Darin Hoover, father of Utah Marine Darin Taylor Hoover Jr., said the president looked down at his watch not once but several times as the caskets were being offloaded.

“That didn’t happen just once. It happened on every single one that came out of that airplane. It happened on every single one of them. They would release the salute, and he would look down at his watch on every last one, all 13, he looked down at his watch,” Hoover said on Fox News’ “Hannity” in 2021.

Further, Biden insultingly steals valor by lying to Gold Star families that his son Beau died in Iraq.

As the cherry on top, he continues to shovel our money at the Taliban he surrendered to:

A report from the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction that was released a week ago found that since the American military left Kabul with 13 U.S. service members killed and with billions of dollars in equipment left behind, money has continued to flow in. …

“The U.S. government has appropriated more than $2.35 billion in [fiscal year] 2022 and [fiscal year] 2023 funding for Afghanistan reconstruction programming since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021,” the report stated.

This goes beyond treason to something so vile we have no word for it.

Lindsey Graham has been rattling a saber at Russia over Ukraine since he and John McCain were the Dweedle Dee and Dweedle Dum of warmongers. Now he calls for Putin’s assassination:

“Somebody in Russia has to step up to the plate. Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military,” Graham, R-S.C., said on “Hannity.”

The host Sean Hannity has brilliantly suggested that we bomb Russian troops, then pretend we didn’t do it so that the Russians won’t know who to retaliate against with their nuclear weapons.

These irresponsible idiots will get us into WWIII if he we don’t cool off the stampede before the herd goes over a cliff. Few of us like his methods, but Putin is not an insane fiend from the depths of hell. Like the suspended teacher tried to tell us, he has a legitimate point of view, even if we don’t agree with it.

Germany invaded Russia in both world wars, with devastating consequences. Russia has good historical reason to take security seriously, as the current Russophobia confirms. The possibility of NATO turning a former key part of Russia from a buffer state into an enemy is at least as alarming to Putin as Soviet missiles in formerly friendly Cuba were to JFK. The Cuban Missile Crisis almost resulted in nuclear war.

Only a fool corners a frightened animal. The same goes for nations.

In Putin, they encountered reality in the form of a wily and cunning strongman who would not yield to their edicts and hollow pronouncements in the submissive way they were used to from their own badgered populations.

Personally, I’m rooting for Ukraine. But which gang of unsavory characters runs an obscure country on the other side of the world is a local issue. We have our own very serious problems to address, starting with the border and inflation.

Let’s ask someone more sober. How about a guy who used to anchor the flagship program on MSNBC? To quote Keith Olbermann,

So, gulags then. At least they aren’t openly calling for executions yet. They still fear the public a little bit.

So he is once again dropping the sportscaster facade and coming out as a straightforward moonbat demagogue.

Olbermann has left ESPN for the fourth time to devote himself to helping Joe Biden by hosting a YouTube show. Watching the show won’t do your blood pressure any favors, but helps clarify what is at stake if people like Olbermann can exploit the empty vessel Biden to secure power in Washington.

The Blaze quotes him from his show on Thursday:

“The task is two-fold: the terrorist Trump must be defeated, must be destroyed, must be devoured at the ballot box, and then he, and his enablers, and his supporters, and his collaborators, and the Mike Lees and the William Barrs, and Sean Hannitys, and the Mike Pences, and the Rudy Gullianis and the Kyle Rittenhouses and the Amy Coney Barretts must be prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society while we try to rebuild it and to rebuild the world Trump has destroyed by turning it over to a virus.”

Olbermann did not state what alleged crimes Trump and his supporters “must” be prosecuted for.

Never mind what they will be prosecuted for. There is no shortage of Lavrentiy Beria types in the Democrat Party. Beria headed Stalin’s secret police. His motto: “Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.”

It must please Olbermann immensely that Kyle Rittenhouse is already behind bars for the “crime” of defending himself from Black Lives Matter rioters who were trying to kill him.

The others would have to be imprisoned on openly ideological grounds.

As Dennis Prager recently noted, it is hard for Americans who have not spent time in a country like the USSR to understand how intolerable totalitarianism makes life. Nor can most of us get our heads around the possibility of the USA becoming such a country in the near future.

Thanks are due to Olbermann for making it clear that those who reject leftist ideology might perish in Soviet-style gulags if the radicalized Democrat base gets its way. If Biden is elected and the Democrats take the Senate, who is going to prevent it?

Notice that Democrats have not been screeching much about gun control. That is a sure sign that confiscation will be at the top of their agenda when they take power. Otherwise, Olbermann et al. will have a hard time getting us to board the trains.
