Sometimes parents and even teachers put up a fight against progressives using public schools to indoctrinate innocent children in the ruling class ideology of politicized sexual depravity. Usually, it is not enough of a fight:

A Southern California school board on Friday adopted a social studies curriculum that includes gay rights that was approved by parents and teachers after initially rejecting it.

When CNN says “gay rights,” it means glorification of LGBTism.

Why did parents agree to this? Arms were twisted.

[Leftist Governor Gavin] Newsom previously warned that the district could be sanctioned if it didn’t use the state-approved curriculum.

Newsom denounced attempts to protect children from the glamorization of sexual sickness as “extremists’ desire to control information.”

Don’t worry, it isn’t as if children are being brainwashed into revering perverts who prey on them. According to Allison Barclay, a Temecula Valley Unified School District board member,

“There is no mention of Harvey Milk in the textbook that I know of,” she said. “He is listed in a supplemental section titled ‘Biographies’…”

Supervisor Harvey Milk was shot along with San Francisco Mayor George Moscone by Dan White, a former supervisor who became unhinged when he couldn’t get his job back. White received a wrist slap after using the infamous Twinkie defense. Because Milk was a pervert who molested children, the same sort of liberals who don’t want you to see Sound of Freedom exploited his death to enshrine him as a martyr to their cause. The Navy even named a ship after him.

We grew up with George Washington. The next generation will grow up with Harvey Milk. Because all societies need heroes.

That’s the main takeaway from a California Court of Appeals opinion issued Friday that ruled cities that tow cars with five or more unpaid parking tickets violate the 4th Amendment’s prohibition of search and seizure without a warrant.

The Coalition on Homelessness sued the City and County of San Francisco seeking an injunction against towing scofflaw cars that piled up parking tickets, and the trial court had denied the petition. But the Court of Appeals reversed, because “appellant [Coalition on Homelessness] presented declarations regarding the severe impacts of vehicle tows on unhoused San Francisco residents.”

The interests of The Unhoused (formerly known as bums) take priority in places like San Francisco. Those who don’t like it are homelessophobes.

Good luck finding a parking place that isn’t taken up by a dead vehicle housing a dope fiend.

Democrats effectively legalized shoplifting in single-party California. The inevitable consequences were easy to foresee.

Due to the dense concentration of moonbats, San Fransicko in particular has collapsed into anarchotyranny and is no longer inhabitable. While senior citizens are forbidden from parking on their own driveways, roving savages are free to rob stroller-pushing moms at will.

Our racially tiered justice system is becoming official. In California, white convicts will soon be sentenced to longer prison terms than blacks, entirely due to the racial favoritism of our moonbat rulers:

A Democrat-backed bill making its way through the California Legislature would require judges in the state to consider a convicted criminal’s race when determining how long to sentence them to prison.

Assembly Member Reggie Jones-Sawyer, the Democratic chair of the California Assembly’s Public Safety Committee, quietly introduced Bill 852 in February.

Despite equality before the law being a bedrock principle of American civilization, the outrageous legislation passed. The left-wing senate can be expected to move it along to the left-wing governor to sign it into law.

The bill would add a section to the Penal Code of California requiring courts, whenever they have the authority to determine a prison sentence, to “rectify” alleged racial bias in the criminal justice system by taking into account how historically persecuted minorities are affected differently than others.

In other words, less time for blacks, more time for whites, because liberals worship blacks and despise whites. There may have been similar laws for Aryans and Jews under the Third Reich.

What would have been called Apartheid in South Africa is known as “racial justice” in the USA, precisely because it is anything but just. To every injury liberals inflict on us, they feel compelled to add insult with a lie.

A recently amended California bill would add “affirming” the sexual transition of a child to the state’s standard for parental responsibility and child welfare—making any parent who doesn’t affirm transgenderism for their child guilty of abuse under California state law.

California’s latest outrage against freedom and sanity is entitled AB957.

Assembly Member Lori Wilson, D-Suisun City, wrote the bill and introduced it on Feb. 14. State Sen. Scott Wiener, D-San Francisco, co-sponsored it.

A tweet from State Senator Wiener clarifies the caliber of people who are imposing these laws. Wiener is the one who forgot to dress for the occasion:

To transsexualize a child is abuse. It causes lasting psychological damage even in the absence of the permanent physical damage often inflicted in the form of chemically castrating hormone treatments and even sex change surgery. It sets kids on the fast track to a ruined life.

State Senator Wilson is transsexualizing her own child, presumably for political purposes.

In the inverted world of our degenerate ruling class, not to abuse your child is to abuse your child.

AB 957 post-amendment “would include a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity as part of the health, safety, and welfare of the child,” altering the definition and application of the entire California Family Code.

California courts would be given complete authority under Section 3011 of California’s Family Code to remove a child from his or her parents’ home if parents disapprove of LGBTQ+ ideology.

“We’re coming for your children,” taunted the militant gays. They weren’t kidding.

California’s courts would now be able to accept reports of gender “abuse” from progressive activist organizations…

The tyranny applies not only to parents:

By changing the definition of what constitutes the “health, safety, and welfare of [a] child,” schools, churches, hospitals, and other organizations interacting with children would be required to affirm “gender transitions” in minors by default—or risk charges of child abuse.

California is no longer a safe place to raise children or even for a child to set foot.

Incredibly, the bill provides no definition whatsoever of what would qualify as “nonaffirming” to a child’s gender.

The vaguer the law, the more flexibility liberals have when wielding it.

When the leftists running California effectively legalized shoplifting, the inevitable result was such a looting spree that major retailers like Walgreens and Nordstrom have been shutting down operations. Now the state’s Democrat rulers have corrected their course. They realized that even if the police allow shoplifting, sometimes store employees step in to prevent it. No problem created by liberals is so awful that they cannot make it worse through more legislation:

The State Senate passed a new bill this week that supporters say would help keep employees safer from workplace violence. One aspect of the bill would prohibit companies from forcing their employees to confront shoplifters and require more training for workers.

State Sen. Dave Cortese says Senate Bill 553 is another step in the fight against workplace violence.

Liberals define violence they don’t like as speech and speech they don’t like as violence. By “workplace violence,” Cortese (a Democrat, of course) could be referring to employees asking looters to refrain from stealing the merchandise.

Unsurprisingly, the California Retailers Association does not support this latest facilitation of crime by Democrats. CRA president and CEO Rachel Michelin observes that “it will open the doors even wider for people to come in and steal from our stores.”

Even the establishment media is starting to figure out that the liberal rule it installed is not sustainable:

Government has few legitimate purposes. Among them is the defense of property rights. Unfortunately, we don’t have a government; its place has been taken by a mob of looters who have no more respect for property rights than the shoplifters emptying the shelves at Home Depot.

Moonbattery-addled California is a case in point. Retailers like Walgreens and Nordstrom have been withdrawing because they cannot maintain stores where looting is effectively legal in accordance with liberal ideology. Nor can insurers do business:

State Farm, the nation’s largest property insurer by volume, is pulling out of California. They will not be selling property insurance in the state anymore for a lot of obvious reasons including rising costs that are outpacing inflation, rampant crime, surging homelessness, the illegal alien invasion, and overall horrible policies from the Democrat-run government.

As we have come to expect, the liberal establishment media blames climate change:

One of the largest insurance agencies in the country will no longer accept applications for home and business insurance in California due to wildfire risks and the cost of rebuilding. …

A decadeslong megadrought and climate change have been exacerbating wildfire risk in California in recent years. Severe drought during the winter is leading to matchbox conditions in the dry season, allowing intense wildfires to ignite with the slightest spark.

California has always been prone to droughts and wildfires. It has not always been rendered dysfunctional by liberal rule, a conspicuous feature of which is the property damage that characterizes anarchotyranny. But the more plausible explanation for State Farm’s inability to operate there does not support its narrative, so the media leaves us to figure things out for ourselves.

Like East Germany, except nauseatingly liberal — that’s California under the rule of leftists like Gavin Newsom, who proudly announces a Stasi hotline for turning in thought criminals:

Last Thursday, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and the California Civil Rights Department announced the launch of CA vs Hate. Through the hotline, Californians will be able to snitch on their neighbors for committing “hate acts,” which the service explicitly states do not always include violence.

Violent crime is disproportionately committed by an identity group designated as “oppressed.” How could an oppressed person commit a hate crime? From the moonbat viewpoint, it would not compute.

“A hate incident is a hostile expression or action that may be motivated by bias against another person’s actual or perceived identity,” the website states.

The list of protected identities goes on long enough to lull you to sleep. Authorities wake up with a start when the alleged victims are blacks, sexual deviants, or illegal aliens.

Acts of hate include “derogatory name calling.” Not even the Stasi would terrorize people over that.

The new hotline, Newsom explained, is “an unequivocal message that hate will not be tolerated” in California.

Define “hate” as “defiance of moonbattery” and these could be the first true words Newsom has spoken in public.

Reports made to the hotline “will not be shared with law enforcement,” unless the person making a report requests it. The hotline, however, will share information with law enforcement “if needed.”

Meanwhile, actual crime is so rampant in California that it is becoming impossible to do business there. Even child rapists are released after minimal jail time.

The term for the California system of government is “anarchotyranny.”

As with the global warming hoax, Democrats are snuffing out liberty to fix a problem that does not exist in any significant sense. As Michael Shellenberger notes,

“California’s total number of hate crime complaints is trivial. There were just 285 hate crime complaints in California, a state with 39 million people, in 2021. There was an order of magnitude more homicides in California, 2,361, in 2021.”

They say one in 100 East Germans was an informant for the communist secret police. California could top that by paying a bounty on thought criminals. But the kooks in charge appear likely to spend themselves into insolvency paying people to be black instead.

Review the California Department of Education Recommended Literature List to confirm that liberals are indoctrinating kids with left-wing garbage rather than educating them. Then compare it to the classics of world literature listed at Florida’s B.E.S.T.* Standards English Language Arts.

Currently, utility bills are based on electricity and gas consumption. The utility companies are now proposing income-based utility billing so that higher-income earners pay for more than they use, subsidizing the rates for lower income customers.

California has remained at the cutting edge of moonbattery by proclaiming that blacks should be handed massive cash payouts in honor of their position of privilege high in the cultural Marxist caste system. Estimated bill: $800 billion.

The $800 billion is more than 2.5 times California’s $300 billion annual budget and does not include a recommended $1 million per older Black resident for health disparities that have shortened their average life span. Nor does the figure count compensating people for property unjustly taken by the government or devaluing Black businesses, two other harms the task force says the state perpetuated.

To judge by liberal rhetoric, the main harm is slavery. But slavery was never legal in California. Nor was it legal anywhere in the USA during the lifetime of anyone alive today.

Handing out massive quantities of other people’s money is not the full extent of the nuttiness California kooks have planned in the name of racial preference:

Other proposals include paying incarcerated inmates market value for their labor, establishing free wellness centers and planting more trees in Black communities, banning cash bail, and adopting a K-12 Black studies curriculum.

Note that liberals conflate blacks with criminals.

The $800 billion estimate in California includes $246 billion to compensate eligible Black Californians whose neighborhoods were subjected to aggressive policing and prosecution in the “war on drugs” from 1970 to 2020.

Blacks are to be showered with money to compensate them for having been provided police protection.

To be a liberal is never to ask, “But how are we going to pay for this?” Someone else always pays.

California doesn’t have the cash to finance this looting spree. But lunacy hatched in California is eventually imposed at the federal level. The federal government doesn’t have the cash either. But it can print it.

If you think inflation is bad now, wait until Democrats have won another round of elections. We will be burning piles of hundred-dollar bills to keep warm.
