While hot weather has shrunk reservoirs, crumbling infrastructure after decades of neglect is also largely to blame. The public’s frustration is a danger sign for the ruling African National Congress, whose comfortable hold on power since the end of apartheid in the 1990s faces its most serious challenge in an election this year.

Who would have thought that investing power in the party of Marxist terrorist Nelson Mandela would lead to anything but bliss?

A country already famous for its hourslong electricity shortages is now adopting a term called “watershedding” — the practice of going without water, from the term loadshedding, or the practice of going without power.

Like everything else in the Rainbow Utopia, the water situation will likely go from bad to worse.

Over the [previous] weekend, water management authorities with Gauteng province, which includes Johannesburg and the capital, Pretoria, told officials from both cities that the failure to reduce water consumption could result in a total collapse of the water system. That means reservoirs would drop below 10% capacity and would need to be shut down for replenishment.

That could mean weeks without water from taps…

But the important thing is that they don’t have to worry about white privilege as the opportunists who poured in from other parts of Africa to partake of the bounty Afrikaners created die of dehydration in the dark.

Checking In on the Rainbow Utopia

Moonbats managed to force South Africa to succumb to the sort of government they want. The story is over, with a happy rainbow ending, so there is no need for the media to dwell on the aftermath. But just in case you are curious:

According to the most recent crime statistics released by the Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, a staggering 881 women and 293 children were killed during the period of July and September this year. …

A staggering 14,401 female victims were victims of assault and 1,514 were victims of attempted murder during the three-month period.

Seventy-five people are killed daily in South Africa. Fortunately, the left-wing GOOD Party has a solution. Barks Brett Herron, GOOD Party secretary-general and MP:

“GOOD maintains that without addressing the toxic blend of social and economic injustice; crime cannot be reduced through more boots on the ground alone.”

No matter how intolerable the crises caused by moonbattery, moonbats’ solution will always be more moonbattery. That’s why a country is doomed once they consolidate control.

South African Federation of Trade Unions national spokesperson Trevor Shaku blames the criminal violence on “backwardness created by patriarchy” and “economic deprivation created by capitalism.”

No moonbat is going to say, “Okay, that’s enough moonbattery; let’s turn back.” The condition is terminal.

More Malfeasance From the Rainbow Utopia

The reason the lights will soon go out in South Africa is that state-owned Eskom is run by the same people who run the government. These people even run the churches:

The Sunday Times reports that Eskom board chair Mpho Makwana’s church, the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC), owes Eskom over R2 million in unpaid electricity bills that were due on Thursday, 17 August 2023.

Payment of this bill might help South Africa’s primary provider of electricity stave off financial collapse a little longer. But other uses have been found for the money:

According to church insiders, the IPHC continues to spend millions on luxury cars for its leader, comforter Leonard Modise.

These cars include a Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS worth more than R5 million, and Modise was also seen arriving at a church event in a R7 million Bently Mulsanne in April.

Makwana declined to respond to the Sunday Times’ questioning and deferred all questions to the IPHC spokesperson, Albie Wessie.

Wessie stressed that Makwana “is not involved with Eskom customer account matters” — although insiders dispute this by saying that Makwana sits on the church’s finance team.

Lights Will Soon Go Out in South Africa

Eventually progressivism progresses to the point where the lights go out. Consider the Rainbow Utopia:

Renowned economist Dawie Roodt said Eskom’s generation and distribution divisions are slowly dying, similar to South African Airways (SAA) and the South African Post Office (SAPO).

State-owned Eskom is the largest producer of electricity in Africa. It is going bankrupt.

The government is furiously shoveling other people’s money at Eskom. This won’t work.

Roodt said the government is trying to run things they cannot run, which causes them to collapse.

He previously explained that SAA had ten turnaround plans, and they all failed. “The company was ultimately run into the ground financially and operationally.”

“The same is currently happening to the South African Post Office. It is simply coming to an end. It is under provisional liquidation, and it is also just dying.”

The same could be said of the country as a whole. But all the racism there is against whites these days, so liberals count it as a win.

What Progressives Are Progressing Toward

Follow the trajectory of community organizer Barack Obama’s racial grievance politics through Black Lives Matter and into the future, taking into consideration the Biden strategy of displacing the American population with millions upon millions of illegal immigrants from the Third World, who are paid by the federal government to reproduce rapidly. Here’s where it’s headed:

Julius Malema is a South African Member of Parliament and leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters party. The EFF has vowed to unseat Malema’s former party, the ruling African National Congress. Even if it fails, its leftward pressure pushes the ANC toward ever more alarming radicalism.

Jack Posobiec says South Africa is 30 years ahead of the USA. That might be optimistic. Major cities have already been lost.

The next step after South Africa is Zimbabwe, with 577% inflation and widespread hunger, but at least no more racist white people.

Chillingly, drawing attention to the impending catastrophe can result in cancelation. Advertisers including Google’s AdSense and Taboola permanently blacklisted this site for mentioning it.

Antiwhite Discrimination Applied to Access to Water

Racial quotas have long discriminated against the whites who built South Africa regarding jobs. Now these will be applied to access to water:

Hot on the heels of newly-gazetted draft Race Quotas designed to ban entire groups of South Africans from employment in certain sectors and provinces, the ANC government has now also gazetted race quotas that will determine access to water on the basis of skin colour. …

The draft regulations, published by Minister of Water Senzo Mchunu on 19 May, introduce race quotas for the allocation of water use licences, which are vital to the survival of businesses in sectors such as agriculture, forestry and mining.

Under the ANC’s new water race quotas, applicants that use more than 250 000 m3 or withdraw more than a set minimum amount from streams need to meet strict racial quotas in order to get access to water – the single most critical resource required for life, livestock, agriculture and industry. Depending on the size of their water need, farmers or companies that have not “allocated” between 25% and 75% of its shares to what the regulations call “blacks,” will be denied access to water.

Once again, South Africa’s farmers take it in the teeth:

The consequences will be particularly devastating for the farmers who feed us all. 60% of South Africa’s water resources are currently used by agriculture to grow the food we all eat.

We know how this will turn out because similar race-based policies were applied to farms in Rhodesia, the erstwhile Breadbasket of Africa that is now the starving basket case Zimbabwe.

Under these water race quotas, livestock will be left to die from thirst because a farmer has the “wrong” skin colour. Fields will go fallow because those who till it are “undesirable.”

Blacks will starve too, but it is worth it to them to poke white farmers in the eye.

Speaking of farming in the Rainbow Utopia,

Former South African rugby star Lukas van Biljon is said to be ‘broken and devastated’ after his father died from gunshot wounds in a horrific farm attack in South Africa.

Tragic Andre van Biljon, 70, was blasted three times in the chest at midnight on Saturday and his son, ex-Springbok hooker Lukas, 47, was stabbed repeatedly with a knife.

Although authorities are effectively on the side of the criminals, two of the attackers were actually captured — because local farmers set up a roadblock and caught them.

Farmers in South Africa are under daily threat with 333 brutal attacks throughout the country last year which resulted in 55 horrific murders of men, women and children.

The attacks are usually highlighted by the cruelty inflicted with women often raped and both men and women first tortured with hot irons, power tools and boiling water.

Most victims are then mercilessly shot dead with stabbing and strangulation the second and third causes of death.

South Africa provides context for the plan openly advocated by leftists like Joe Biden to make whites a minority in the USA.

South Africa to Ban Free Speech

How does the fundamental right of free speech fare where liberalism has triumphed? To find out, let’s turn to the Rainbow Utopia and check on the progress of the Prevention and Combating of Hate Crime and Hate Speech Bill, which has been accepted by South Africa’s National Assembly:

The Bill has now been referred to the National Council of Provinces for deliberation and should it be accepted, it will be sent to Pres Cyril Ramaphosa for confirmation.

Ramaphosa was produced by the same African National Congress that gave us the communist terrorist, chum of despots, and prominent deity in the liberal firmament Nelson Mandela. I’m guessing he will sign it.

A specific concern is the vague definitions used in the Bill to define hate speech.

That’s not a bug; it’s a feature. As with the terms of service Big Tech tyrants like Google exploit to deplatform dissidents, vagueness will allow it to be weaponized on an arbitrary basis. The concept of “hate speech” and “hate crimes” was created for this purpose.

After several amendments to the Bill the term “hate crime” is now defined as an offense – excluding the offenses of crimen injuria or hate speech – committed by a person motivated by their prejudice or intolerance towards the victim, a family member of the victim, or the victim’s connection to or support of a group of persons who share one or more of the following real or perceived characteristics: age; albinism; culture; disability; ethnic or social roots; gender; HIV or Aids status; language; nationality; refugee status; occupation; political affiliation or conviction; race; religion; sexual orientation; skin colour.

The Bill also provides for the different channels through which these crimes can be committed and includes social media and online communication.

In short, say anything over the Internet that anyone chooses to find offensive and if authorities don’t like the cut of your jib, you will be in big trouble:

The Bill also provides for any person found guilty of a hate crime to be sentenced to a maximum of eight years imprisonment or a fine or both.

It would be a challenge to survive eight days in a South African hospital nowadays. Eight years in prison could be a life sentence.

We all know when Democrats will impose a similar law in the USA: the moment they have the political leverage.
